Not sure if thats a checking line at all. Hawks dont really have a checking line outside of the fourth line anyways and that is even subjective at best.

Fair enough. How about the grinder line? Whatever you wanna call it, he doesn't belong on it.
If the Hawks a true "checking" line it's the Kruger line.
This link lists the Hawks players this year in order of their zone start percentage. That is, the zone where the faceoff occurs when those players come on the ice, listed as a percentage. The top (or bottom) three guys are Nordy (13.8), Kruger (24.4) and Desjardins (37.3). Carcillo is 4th at 41.9. The Hawks tend to use that line the most in defensive situations.
On the other side of that coin, Bryan Bickell (71.7) and Brad Richards (71.2) frequently start in the offensive zone.
Lines from the morning skate:
Versteeg-Toews-Hossa
Saad-Richards-Sharp
Bickell-Vermette-Teuvo
Desjardins-Kruger-Shaw
Crawford in net.
Also, Rundblad in for Roszival.
