Ken Rosenthal of FOXSports.com reports that A.J. Pierzynski is "NOT" close to a deal with the Blue Jays.
So much for that. Joe Cowley of the Chicago Sun-Times reported earlier Thursday that a deal was close between Pierzynski and Toronto. Cowley, apparently, was wrong. The White Sox are still hoping to re-sign the 33-year-old Pierzynski, who batted .270/.300/.388 over 474 at-bats in 2010.
