Rough way to lose. Thought the Blackhawks were the better team for the majority of the night but just didn't get it done.

First line played great all around tonight. Hossa is an absolute stud. Love watching him with the puck in traffic, no idea how he comes out of there with it time after time. He is a game changer and the Blackhawks need him to stay healthy in a big way.

Handzus had a nice first game for the Blackhawks. Pretty much did exactly what he was brought in for going 10-4 at the dot and playing pretty decent. Speed didn't seem to be a factor tonight.

Leddy was one of the better Dmen again. Love the way he has come along this season. Seabrook has been MIA for a little, would like to see him get physical again. The physicality goes for Shaw and Bickell too, as they seem to play their best games and contribute on the scoresheet when they play a physical game.

Kane is a stud...can't wait to get Sharp back so he can have a finisher with him. Just another option that the other team will have to respect and of course Kane could use that option. Another solid game.

Loved seeing Stalberg get the tying goal tonight. Complete BS that he has to defend himself after lifting the stick, and doing it with a cage covering the jaw at that. Kind of an unspoken rule when it comes to a guy with 60 stitches and the protection, but clearly Polak didn't care. Stalberg seemed to be tentative the last couple of games but that woke him up a little. Was nice to see.

Should be a good one on Saturday. Rinne hasn't been getting wins lately but has been playing pretty well and did the last game against the Blackhawks.

Wow, they're not winning anything with this fucking sieve.

Good thing we didn't need any deals besides a washed up bum like Handzus.

Not a great shootout obviously but usually he is one of the better and more patient goalies in the shootout. Hard to blame him on any of the three goals tonight. He has been one of the better goalies all year. Just didn't happen tonight...it happens.

Great analysis! I loved every bit of it. I liked the part where you talked about that game where guys ice skate with sticks!

Once again you try to make fun of me for giving my opinion on the game.

Stupid.

Feel free to comment on the actual post if you want or cut the BS. No one comes to the IGT for that shit.

I'll always take the extra point in standings of course, but when we lose in a skills competition I don't mind as much because we didn't get beat in extra hockey. Shootout wins are devalued a bit since ROW became a tiebreaker too.

We're going to be the 1 or 2 seed, it is a given. I'll take an extra point, sure, but will the one point kill us? Not likely. At this point I just want to see us playing good, which we really didn't for the first half of the third.

****, wanted some more activity. :shifty:

You can feel free to rip the team for having 1 goal in 4 games while allowing 9 though, it is very pathetic.

Had an idea for a new Fire ad.

Patrick Nyarko: "My goal... is our only goal"
"Chicago Fire! One Goal!"

Depends on city now, used to be completely true. Go to Seattle, Portland, Vancouver, Los Angeles (more due to large market size than a high percentage of fans), Kansas City, Houston, Philadelphia, and you get at least a slightly different feel for it. The Fire just have awful ownership and an awful stadium location.
