Lots of great suggestions here, The Allman Brothers have a few, My fave from them is Statesboro Blues.

B.B. King "Thrill is gone" in my opinion is a MUST have for any Blues collection.

Also Buddy Guy and Junior Wells arguably ruled in the Chicago Blues scene back in the 80's, so much so the Stones would show up at some of their gigs in Chicago bars and jam with them, Mick loves the Blues.

Stones "Little Red Rooster" is one and "Midnight Rambler"

You gotta check out "Deep Blues." It's a documentary about Delta blues. Here's a clip:

Here is Susan Tedeschi looking out of place and overmatched in a little jam session with Taj Mahal playing Leavin Trunk. Without her husband she would have no reason to be on stage

If you haven't seen his Austin City Limits show, you need to if you're a SRV fan.

This was a great documentary I remember seeing it years and years ago while I was on a Fat Possums record label kick.

saw SRV open for the Who in Dallas just before he died. I am not a fan of White Blues but I would go to any concet I gould go to at the time and he was transcendent.

My dad's been playing guitar for over 40 years, I grew up on the blues!. When I was a kid I had a DMX CD I bought with my allowance money. When I played it in my pops' car he looked at me, put the CD in it's case and threw it out the window. Said, "You are not going to grow up listening to that shit." lmao

I still thank him.

You gotta get the good shit, bro. Black Keys are cool for modern stuff. But we've been in a huge Junior Kimbrough kick lately.

Also, the Black Keys do this KICKASS album dedicated for Junior Kimbrough with all his stuff.

It's so good. One of the only reasons I saw them on New Years a few years ago lol!

No love for Gary Moore? Cmon man! You better than that. Blues is about the soul: no color of skin. Some white folk(like my guy Ryan Bingham) sing the blues more from the heatr than some black guys. Just strictly on some horrible things that have happened in their life.

Imagine Desbro and his good older bro Biker Tom blasting this at a country townie bar south of my house.. Buncha locals had on Luke Bryan n we were drinking.. Biker Tom be like **** this.. I want some jams,

Put the white/black blues on.

So many stares.. Too much awesome. Great night!!
