Had the Bulls and Bobcats had made the trades for Salmons/Miller and Bell/Diaw before the season I dont see how Pistons make the playoffs.

What's interesting about the Bobcats is that they really have no direction. They have no great young talent to look forward to. Most of their players are now in their prime.

It's a team going no where fast.

I dont know, moving J-richs contract was big. I never doubt Brown, he likes to wheel and deal so I think they can make some moves to get into the playoffs. DJ Augustine is a nice little prospect. Other than that I agree everyone else is in their prime.

Indeed. Larry Brown is still a master tactician and motivator, but these guys are not on the rise.

After losing their first four games this month, the January Reclamation Project kicked in and the project has garnered twelve points out of their last seven games. Kane picked up two points in their last game against the Panthers; Kane is hoping this is the beginning of a much needed hot streak. Emery should have came in after the 3rd goal. Team needed a much needed energy infusion at that point and Cory just went all stiff. Bad move Q not making the swap earlier.



This is one of those games where you might like to see Carcillo in or Scott. The inability to handle a checking Nashville team rears its head yet again. Honestly a Preds team without Suter and a team that loses another key blueliner during the game going down to 5 blueliners? Hawks shouldn't be having this much trouble. They do have the "tired" excuse to fall back on though. That's fair enough.
