I worked at one of those companies that gave bonuses only to management. So I just used it to cater lunch a few times to my shift. I learned my lesson, because one year I gave everyone a $100 gift card(which was slightly more than the bonus), and half the people complained that it wasn't just cash. Okay, fine. So the next year it was cash. Then I find out three of them reported it on their taxes, just three out of almost 50 people that worked under me. I was audited because of that BS, and of course, nothing happened to me. But that was a day and a half of my life wasted.
So much more trouble than it is worth IMO. I'm glad to own my business now and not worry about that shit. The rat race sucks.
