At least that's better than "oh, I was cutting an apple in my bed.....or something."

Let me get some of these comments straight: Bulls fans should have expected him to get hurt and it is better now than later (on an off day).

So, does this mean that when he actually does play and fulfills fans' expectations in getting hurt on the court, does this injury cancel out that one?

So he's saying he tripped over a bag? Sounds to me like he's trying to cover up that he was in a fight.

That's mere speculation and heresay.

And it IS better that it happened now... because it's still the off-season. But nobody is happy about it.

You had to expect Boozer to get hurt sooner or later, but the fact that he's already hurt is concerning

not necessarily....especially in regards to a serious injury

Yea it is hearsay, hence the "sounds to me..." in my post. And yes, I did edit my last post, but I didn't touch that statement. I edited because I typo'd cancel(s).

I have a tough time how anyone could expect him to get hurt OFF the court on an OFF day. Sure I can understand the expectation of an injury-prone player to be injured, but like this? Rami, you're rationalization that one ought to have expected this so you can make it hurt less inside is bullshit. Really, go ahead and be pissed/hurt. It's okay to say, "make this fucking **** wear a helmet 24/7."

I like Taj, but is he going to be able to handle the increased minutes? Could you realistically ask him to match the minutes Boozer puts up or even the increased minutes mark everyone hoped they would get from him? I don't know if he can do all of that and keep his production up.

Taj started 70 games and played about 27mpg, he is going to be good for 30+mpg. He played a lot down the stretch. The question is what can we get out of JJ, Asik and Thomas in the back up minutes? Or do we have to slide Deng to the backup pf and play Korver and Deng big minutes.

In the end, we are gonna struggle abit but we will be fine.

It's just Chicago sports man... I'm so used to this.

Didn't Kerry Wood break his arm slipping in a bathtub a few years ago?

Ugh. I'm not happy, but Boozer is definitely injury prone, too...

It is good that it happened early, but 8 weeks will have him coming back in early Dec. Right after the circus trip - which is tougher than previous Nov trips. Hou, SA, DAL, Lakers, Suns, Nuggs and Kings. then they come home on Dec. 1st for the Magic, then play at Boston.

I hope the Bulls get off to a good start, because it could end up being one of those years where the Bulls are playing catchup record-wise.

NOBODY SHOULD BE SHOCKED!!! It was only a matter of time, when the Bulls signed Boozer I am sure they knew he is a injury waiting to happen, so NOW we basically have the same lineup we had last season besides Brewer at SG

hopefully Gibson is Stronger this season and has improved

I agree, the Bulls could be in a catch up situation. As for Taj I think he will be fine as he was last year,is he Boozer? No,but he will do fine. And also did I expect this from Boozer sometime sooner or later? Yes and like I said I guess its better for it to happen now than later, but I dont think any of us saw him getting injured before the season. Also could their be more behind the whole tripping over a bag incident? Maybe but we dont know that for sure.

Someone should've asked him "did you have a nice trip?"
