So, I had to give him a good ribbing for it.
It's his money and he can do as he pleases, not begrudging him. Just having some harmless fun with him. Just clowning him a bit.

Don't feel so bad. I bought Reebok Pump Omni Zone IIs these after falling for the Pump hype in 1990ish.
I wore them once, never played ball in them, and still have the pair in the box somewhere in storage. I'm not a collector, and I have no idea if they are worth keeping because they were re-released. I only kept them because I used to wear through ball shoes so quick so this was a backup to a backup pair, and over time I just forgot that I kept them.
They are ugly shoes, even with a "safe" color like black. But haha, had to try out the pump for myself. Everyone makes that strange shoe purchase at some point.
