Not all chainsaws are gas powered. Electric and battery operated are basically switch on.

True, but I used a battery operated Stihl the other week, and was duly impressed. Not great for bigger jobs, or day long jobs, but decent for small trees, or the homeowner. These things have come a long way. And quiet, surprisingly so.

Yeah i know i checked out one of them extension chain saw with a 10 inch bar so i can get to some limbs. Battery operated. It's on my wish list.
