Who exactly is Orlando's starting PF right now again? Brandon Bass? Oh, that guy that scores less and rebounds less than Boozer. Got it.

and he makes 12m less than Boozer which is now one of the worst contacts in the NBA

no disrespect but Bleacher Report is mostly just fans posting opinions, ideas and starting TRADE RUMORS

unless it comes from someone like David Aldridge Chris Broussard or Stephen A. Smith...I DON'T BELIEVE IT!

Have the Bulls called to see what it would take to get him...I AM SURE THEY HAVE...but I don't think they are CLOSE TO A DEAL or anything like that

If we can get him then DO IT...IF NOT then I would like to see the Bulls get a STAR SG!

The Bulls have gone after Kobe, Garnett, Lebron and DWade over the past 5 years. Anybody who thinks they are going to past on the best big man of this era without testing the waters is fooling themselves.

I still don't understand how people can question acquiring Howard to play with Rose. Trading Noah and Deng wouldn't be a hard task at all. Howard by himself is a top 5 defense. I don't get how certain fans catch feelings for decent at best players and don't want to replace them. This is a basketball team, not a soap opera...

i agree with you and i can guarantee you one thing, howard won't be on the bench in the forth quarter of an eastern conference finals game 5.(noah and boozer)

Does anyone know how much room we'd have to sign a SG after a trade like this? I'd do that trade in a heartbeat anyway, but if we had room for a decent SG who can at least score 10+ points consistently, we're in a fantastic position. The only slight downside is that our front court depth is essentially lost. But Howard can play 45 minutes a game because he's a freak provided he's not in foul trouble. But I'm sure we can bring back KT or get some other minimum salary vet for some depth.

front court depth? were was boozer and noah in the 4th quarter of game 5 of the eastern conference finals?:lmao:

On the bench, as I'm sure you remember. Who was out there instead? Their backups or in other words, the "depth".

We trade most of that away in a trade for Howard and then we'd just have Howard, Gibson, and maybe Kurt Thomas if we don't sign someone else. Like I said, that's not really bad since Howard would never need a break except if he got in foul trouble. It's only an issue for those inevitable times that Howard and Gibson would get in foul trouble (because it would happen) because then we would have to go small and put Deng at the 4.

I don't blame the Bulls for going after Howard, but I think he is a great athlete who can out jump everybody with very average post moves as of now. He could still improve but to me he is just the best at a position where it's been down since the end of the 90s.

Then the Bulls will have the task of trying to resign Howard and Rose in the same offseason when both garner max deal money, if they were to successfully acquire Howard. That's a task in itself.

I think you underestimate Howard's defensive impact. I agree about his post moves needing drastic improvements, but he seems to work on it...

You do know he averaged almost 23PPG shooting 61%...

Even with "Average" post moves he is one of the leading scorers in the NBA and one of the most effitient scorers as well.

I agree with both of you. It seems to me that he, so far in his career, is relying on his athletic ability more than getting go to moves in his offensive post game. He improved some this past season. But when he can't jump like he can now, he would probably be an average center with the slow progression of his post up game over the years. I mean it took him seven years to get a nice spin move and a drop step. I hope he continue to work on his back to the basket game and get a go to move and pass better out the post.

chicago fans fall in love with "scrappy" "fire and passion" guys in all of the sports here in chicago, and its sad.
