This. And when Glennon was finally hitting the open guys and they dropped it on six or so passes, I didn't care since the game was out of control by then. If they had caught those balls, we would have scored what ... maybe another Td maybe ... meh.

Anyway, Biggs' title here is a bit tone deaf. No one is saying the Bears are off course, only that we could have and should have done better in the first 2 games.

"Glennon sucks and needs to ride pine. Coaches need to do something" is not the same as "the Bears are totally off course and screwed". We will still see what cream rises to the top by the end (if any).

If J.Howard would of caught a certain ball we'd be 1-1 instead of 0-2......just sayin.

Any given Sunday. Being TD underdogs doesn't justify losing 4 straight. We should have won the opener but woulda shoulda doesn't show in the standings.

Synopsis for the lazy.

Smile everyone the Bears are 0-2 just like expected and when they are 0-4 smile just as wide.
Sometimes the beat writers do a team a solid in exchange for continued access.

This to me seems like another one of those fluff pieces.

I don't think Mike Glennon is a terrible QB because the Bears have lost 2 games in a row.

Kinda like when a woman asks "do these pants make me look fat?" No, your fat makes you look fat. Don't blame the pants.

I'd say the defender knocks it out regardless. Howard isn't a WR at all. Should've been Cohen in there and the ball thrown about 1.5 seconds earlier

The drops by receivers are a problem, but Glennon is not blameless with regard to those either. Just like a QB getting in rhythm, receivers do as well. If the ball is being delivered late or in traffic they are trying to do too much before the ball gets there. If they are regularly getting the ball in open space they don't have to be thinking about what they are going to do before they catch the ball.

It is much easier if they are catching it in stride versus constantly twisting back or stopping to adjust to poorly thrown balls.

It should be a thought process of run, cut, turn, catch, then go into reactive YAC mode. If they are thinking run, cut, turn, stop, reach, catch, brace for impact, then reactive YAC, that is when they short arm or look upfield to quickly.

I'm not an X's and O's rocket scientist by any means, but Glennon's inaccuracy is probably about 75% of the reason. his timing is bad, and he throws balls at people's feet. even the passes that do get caught, there's almost nothing for YAC because of the acrobatic acts they have to pull to either cut back to make the catch, or their face is in the dirt and a defender touches them after they get the ball. I get the receiving corp. isn't encompassed with world beaters, but it looked to me that guys like Brian Hoyer and Matt Barkley were able to squeeze something out of roughly the same batch of players just a year ago. I don't think the simple argument "omgomg Bellamy r teh sux0rz" is going to work anymore, people.

I doubt you are in fact "just sayin". But it is irrelevant. Glennon sucks and is the main (not only) reason they are losing and why we anticipate losing more games in fairly embarrassing and noncompetitive fashion.

Yeah. We should not be surprised should we? Most of us knew that Glennon sucks and that the offense was going to have a hard time moving the ball. The Bears are like a boat trying to speed along the waves while having its anchor in the water.

Biggs is right - the Bears are not off-course.

To be off-course, you have to have been on one at some point . . .

Brad Biggs is fat.

There will be no fat shaming here. Biggs is 'hefty', maybe even 'portly' or 'husky'- He is, most certainly, not 'fat'

When you can not distinguish where chin stops and chest starts, you are undoubtedly fat. Embrace the fatness

Just because the back of his neck looks like a package of Hebrew nationals doesn't mean he's fat...

It's funny listening to him when he does calls with the score. He's the guy you can hear breathing from across the room breathing.

Almost forgot about this gem.

Fox: "I'm not going to get into all this. ... Had we had the coolness of the hot dog-laden press box, we might have gone there."
