Also, thank God if the McCaskeys don't manage to the whims of fans. Not to say they are doing a good job, but give the team wins and the coaching staff will look great and nobody will give a fuck that the guy hiring the football guy is not himself a football guy in spite of being in football for the past 35 years.

I wonder what fan base he was referring to......maybe Baylor?

If he means Chicago....it's just the opposite......we hate nearly every move until proven wrong.

Sorry, not buying what he's selling. Last off season, almost every move the Bears made was blasted (fans and media) from Jimmy Graham and a dozen tight ends, Germain Ifedi only o-line move, Robert Quinn expensive contract, Nick Foles trade and contract, Danny Trevathan contract, etc. Didn't Sports Illustrated say they had the worst off season in the NFL?

Plenty of meatballs on this board predicted 11-5 and 10-6 seasonin 2020

Big fat no on your perception of Kmet
This isn't 'my perception' of Kmet. Your playing pretend or you're hanging around with some odd Bears' fans if you didn't notice a lot of complaints about the pick. I get it. Probably more to do with the position of TE than Kmet himself. But, the fans I hang with were pretty pissy with the choice. The Bears had already signed Demetrius Harris and Jimmy Graham and the fans I hang with wanted Antoine Winfield, Jr,, or Jeremy Chinn. Plenty of them were complaining that they took the wrong Notre Dame pass catcher - big Chase Claypool fans. One was an o-line guy and was in on Ezra Cleveland and a guard from LSU who I can't think of right now.

The Bears fans I know haven't overrated any of the recent moves. They've been pretty salty lately and I expect that to continue. Just so we can have a good laugh, I'll admit that one of my friends was pretty friggin' stoked when the Bears acquired Kordell Stewart before the 2003 season. He was so bad he was benched for Rex Grossman and was gone from the team after the season.

God forbid fans be optimistic. Oh, wait, I forgot. It's vitally important fans be hyper critical of their team, since they have no control over any aspect of it. If a fan isn't unbiased and realistic in his assessment of his team, he's not a real fan!

Like, if I say the Bears are going to go 10-6, and they go 8-8, my optimism obviously contributed to their mediocrity. If only I had said they'd be 8-8. They would have been 10-6!

This guys team access and credentials probably depend on riding Pace’s dick, just like KC Johnson and the Bulls. Find me any league executive that will say the Bears future outlook is better than the Jets Falcons or Vikings.. that’s all you need to know

I think it’s hilarious that Nagy’s stink is so strong that others are getting denied starting gigs (Bienamy) because teams are so scared he’ll be the next Nagy.

Fans generally aren't especially knowledgeable and act from emotion. That's not exclusive to the Bears.
i'm on the emotional roller coaster..i drink when bears play.

Here's a quote from his last article when someone asked if the angry fans will be back next year:

"Bears fans have shown a consistent ability to overrate the team's moves almost every offseason..."

Just thought it was kind of funny that he flat out said it. He's not wrong. Whatever Pace does this offseason the majority of the fan base will think it's great.
He’s absolutely right! Bears fans really think the team is a lot better than it is. In reality they’re an after thought. Not a single team is afraid to face the Bears

Again, fans and media. None of the Bears fans I hang around with were happy with any of the moves. Throw in drafting Kmet - actually throw in the entire draft class outside of Jaylon Johnson.
Darnell Mooney would like a word with you.

I won’t blast BB’s weight, but he absolutely is lazy. Lazy at writing. Lazy at analyzing.

Listen to him on the Trubune’s Bears podcast, Bear Download. Dan Wiederer is great, but Brad B. can’t be bothered to be there and offers only surface-level observations.
