What's really surprising to me is how Brad Miller has let himself get completely taken out of things so far in this series. He has the 2 techs because of dicey fouls earlier, and almost got kicked out of this game for reacting to a hard foul.

Seriously, this guy is a veteran, what the heck is going on with him? He's got to know better than that.

Brad Millers play has been woebegone this postseason..he's rebounding decently and has hit a couple of 3's but his help d is still nonexistent, he's forcing passes, he's picking up killer techs and is shooting terribly from the field. He's the vet and i expected a lot more from him. I looked for him to come in and calm the team down in during tight stretches but he worsens situations. Noah is the one looking like a 12 year vet

Kind of mind boggling isn't it when you have Noah being the one calming down the veteran Miller. One thing I will say, is that Miller's reaction looked a lot worse than it was IMO. Big Baby did a good acting job because at first glance it looked ejection worthy. Fortunately (or unfortunately depending on how you value Miller's input this series) the refs did a first class job of reviewing and altering the call.

But yes, Miller is the last one you expect to be sucked into such BS.

He realizes that Vinny won't sit him at the end of games unless he, Brad, takes it out of Vinny's hands. And Brad's willing to do whatever it takes to make sure the kids are out there at the end getting the experience.

Miller has always been a bit of a hot head. remember that game against the lakers (during his first stint with the bulls) where shaq almost decapitated him? I think dime or slam also did a small piece on whether or not he was a 'dirty' player.

seriously, if that punch would have landed Bmill would of been in a world of hurt.

Miller is a solid player but I don't expect nothing new from him. He's like the Sheed of the Bulls at times.

For a second I though the thread was titled Brad Miller, pot head. Anyway it is not surprising, watching him for years since his Indy days he has always been a whiner.

Could NBA suspend Brad tomorrow for game 5? God I hope not.

Your right, I expected more of Miller, I thought he was smarter and craftier. I expect him to repay his aggressors at the other end with a hard foul not getting himself a technical. i miss that about AD, he had the perfect attitude and would foul hard on the other end. Just keep his wife out of the stands.

Possibly frustration for his lack of ability due to age???

He looks really old out there lately so I could see that.

But as long as it wasn't anything crazy I like the fact that he's standing up to those bastards.

I was shocked when I saw that move by Miller. Firts I thought that was a headnut. In the replays it looked like Miller had his eyes closed in that scene.

Anyway in a close game it is important not to lose your nerves. Normaly the team who does loses the game.

But lots of respect for the refs. They handled the situation very good.

I don't have a problem with what Miller did. The Celtics since game 2 on have been playing very physical. Nothing illegal or cheap but the refs are letting them hammer us on the drive and in the post rebounding. Big Baby should have gotten a flagrant, he hit Brad in the head. I think the rule states that it doesn't matter if you are going for the ball if you strike the head, similar to the football QB rule. Miller was fed up with not only playing poorly but because that was the third time this game and probably the 20th time in the series that he got hit in the head. Good for him, he actually should have mopped Davis out with a Chris Childs one, two combo, ha, someone has to be tough.

Oh yah and who remembers Brad Miller almost died when Shaq tried the windmill haymaker from behind and Artest tackled Shaq. Miller ducked just in time or he would have been in the hospital. That was great.

“It was just a push,” Miller said. “I don’t think I pushed a 290-pound guy that hard. It was just a hard foul. They had a lot of hard fouls of our guys around the head area and I just pushed back a little bit.

“BG has been hit in the head a couple of game, D-Rose,” Miller said. “It just hasn’t been called. It’s part of them. Just push back a little bit. Those guys that’s how they play. Deal with it. He rung my bell a little bit. I was just trying to push him.”

idiot play by a veteran. he's so whiny too, it's like having noche back only taller without the ridiculous amount of hair.

Are you kidding me? Noc was out of control and stupid at all times and contributed nothing at the end there other than 'intensity' (mindlessness). Miller did nothing wrong in this situation really and it was massive flop by Baby acting like he had been hit with a line drive in the face. The Celtics have been resorting to thuggery since game 2 and they deserve anything they get. I wish His Bradjesty would have snapped Baby over his knee.

I don't think so, I didn't get a benefit of the replay since I was at the game, and of course they wouldn't replay something interesting like that at the UC, but they downgraded it from flagrant to technical, so clearly the refs thought it looked bad initially but after review thought it didn't look so bad.

It's unlikely the league, looking at the same replay, will come to the conclusion that Brad needs to sit a game when the refs didn't think he needed to even be ejected.

Miller's averaged 8.5 rebounds in 26 MPG in this series. That's pretty good. He's the one big body we have that can bang with the 280 lb. Perkins. My favorite lineup is with him at C, and Noah at PF to counter Big Baby and Perkins.

Man, when you are down on the floor it's amazing how slow Brad Miller is relative to everyone else. I think the Bulls would be better off starting Miller, he should never be on the floor when Perkins isn't, because if he's not under the basket he's of little use.

However, Noah has played well, and I can see why we don't want to yank him out of the starting lineup either.
