My favorite teams
  1. Chicago Cubs
  1. Chicago Bulls
  1. Chicago Bears
  1. Tennessee Volunteers
looks like we dont NEED to draft a tackle high after all

now if Poles can just go find a real CENTER, we will be in a great spot with our offensive line

I could see a scenario where the trade down is actually with the Bears second 1st.

They take a QB at 1 or 2.

Trade down from 4 or 5. (Because MHJ is gone)

Another team trades up to get one of the LT’s.

Braxton playing well is extremely valuable for the Bears going forward.

Bowers is special. He's a level above all of the TEs who came out last year and are already showing to be vital parts of good offenses (Kincaid/LaPorta).

Strongly disagree on the first pick part but Bowers allows Kmet to thrive as an in line TE.

Bowers? I didn’t mention him

If you're at 4-5 and miss out on MHJ, you take Bowers is my point. Nobody is going to overpay for a tackle prospect enough to justify passing on an obviously special pass catcher.

Tackle is more important than TE.

I agree, and no one has been more critical of Braxton Jones than me the past 2 seasons. But if he continues to improve, I don't think Tackle becomes as strong a need any more.

I’m talking in general. Teams value Tackle more than TE.

I think he meant he should be a viable target if the Bears miss out on MHJ. And I agree. Bowers is one of the best TE prospects I’ve seen at the college level.

He can line up anywhere and is a strong blocker. Elite pass-catcher.

TE is one of those positions you don’t need to spend a top 10 pick on.

People are really sleeping on nabers as an elite prospect. It would not surprise me at all if he ends up better than MHJ. They’re both going to be bonafide #1s
