There is no need to dump him. You may not get the "sky" but you shouldn't take dirt either. Rios has value.

It's not a disaster. His first year was but overall no. Just hope I wake up and hear he's dealt. Love to clear his $$ and a spot for Garcia. Wonder if Dunn or ramirez will get claimed.
What time tomorrow do they have to workout a deal by?

I think Ramirez could, but Dunn probably won't would be my guess. Too big of a risk that some team puts a "block" claim in and the Sox wash their hands like Toronto did to us with Rios.

Alex Rios - OF - White Sox
CSNChicago.com's Dan Hayes reports that the Rangers have acquired Alex Rios from the White Sox in exchange for Leury Garcia.
Reports everywhere indicated that a deal was unlikely after Rios was claimed on waivers, but the Rangers pulled it off and didn't give up much in return. Rios has batted .277/.328/.421 with 12 homers and 26 stolen bases in 109 games this season for the White Sox and will give Texas the right-handed bat they crave following the suspension of Nelson Cruz.

Alex Rios - OF - White Sox
CSNChicago.com's Dan Hayes reports that the Rangers have acquired Alex Rios from the White Sox in exchange for a player to be named later or cash.
Reports everywhere indicated that a deal was unlikely after Rios was claimed on waivers, but the Rangers pulled it off. The player to be named later is expected to be Leury Garcia, but his name is not being announced now so that he won't have to clear waivers. CBS Sports' Jon Heyman says the Rangers will also get $1 million in the deal, which covers Rios' buyout after the 2014 campaign. Rios has batted .277/.328/.421 with 12 homers and 26 stolen bases in 109 games this season for the White Sox and will give Texas the right-handed bat they crave following the suspension of Nelson Cruz.

getting a player and only paying 1 million is great!

Pretty much. They've gotten 5 players back for Peavy, and Rios and have only had to fork over $1M.

Hahn is a boss.

Jim Bowden looks like an idiot after tweeting basically no chance a deal happens.
