I was against the marshall trade but i'm not going to shit on kevin white because of it

I'm not either. None of us knows a thing about how he or any of those picks will turn out. My criticism is based on my opinion that White was not what they needed in the first round. I think that he is very inexperienced and hasn't played against quality opposition for his entire collegiate career. That is a weak pick to me. Sorry if the homers do not like it but I give a crap. I think that Pace was not the guy that Bears should have hired. He is inexperienced. As for Fox, I think that he is just an average head coach.

So, I am negative about this new regime . For all of the bluster about re-vamping this team from the evil that was Trestman and Emery, they wound up with an inexperienced GM and an average head coach. They, in my view lied to Bear fans about re-vitalizing the Bears organization. Same old McCaskeys. same old Team President, Same old below average team.

Harlon Hill was possibly better, maybe Johnny Morris, and Marcus Robinson was really good before he got injured.

Nit pick much? Ever see harlon Hill play? Did the football have laces holding it together?

By the time we know what type of pro Amos is, Marshall will be on his fifth team or retired.

What if he gets cut out of training camp? Then what? Think Marshall gets cut?

You get to have an opinion on White that counts when you actually watch tape of White, and not just stitch together pieces of different reports to build a narrative. Let us know when that happens.

ND is horrible.
Hawk, you are simply the worst poster and most ignorant person here since I blocked Hometown Jimmy.

You continually embarrass yourself over and over with ridiculous insinuations, baseless assertions and absolutely counterfactual evidence.

You actually think WVU played a weak ass schedule when they in fact played 4 top 7 opponents and a top 12 team in KSU who is always solid as well a decent and very talented TAMU team who only lost games to SEC killers. In fact WVU played a very, very hard schedule and Kevin White smashed Alabama which yr in yr out has the most talent on defense of any program in America right now.

Phil Steele's methodology-which is widely esteemed among the college football cognoscenti (look it up)- had WVU's SOS among the the 91st percentile for difficulty. Other rankings had it consistently in the top 5th. This is verifiable and objective information, and proves you have absolutely no clue of wtf you are talking about w/ regards to college football/.

I was going to go further in depth with showing how dumb some of your other points, but they are so ridiculous that I won't waste my time.
(e.g. White wasn't recruited as a 16 yr old so we should be concerned....um, for...well, just bc).

You are completely ignorant of anything having to do with CFB and apparently most things having to do with football in general.

One can only guess as to the reasons who continually post on a professional football message board when evidently you don't have much interest in football in general.

I am not going to need a response......but please consider simply not posting here, bc I think it's close to the time most of us simply block your posts as they've become just distractions and wastes of space on the board.

I can't tell if this is a serious thread or not. If it is, just stop it.

The Bears got a 5th round pick for Marshall but got cap relief for this year & next, plus a cancer out of the locker-room.

To be so simple-minded & dumb down this into Marshall for Amos is... Well... Dumb.

I didn't think the Marshall trade was good but I think Amos will be a quality starter for the Bears.

I liked the draft for the most part, but the posters who are getting overly excited for this draft are the same who did it with Emery lol.

Every year my friend lol.. Every year.

Kyle Long And his whopping 5 starts at D1 football as a Jco transfer is doing just fine in the NFL. Erin Rogers, another Jco transfer seems to be doing OK also.

I'm not saying, I'm just saying.

It's also pretty common practice for prospects to take the Jco route because they're lagging behind academically to actually get into a D1 school. There are Only so many Full rides that can be handed out.

if I would of suggested trading Marshall for a 5th round pick, in mid season last year and then spend our first round pick on a WR.....I would of been laughed at.
and folks throw out the word injury prone.....which is fucking beyond stupid. Marshall went to the IR after breaking ribs after fighting for extra yards.
I don't know the real reason for Marshall getting traded, but lets not pretend that we are better off for it.
the probability of White, having a career as productive as Marshalls is slim to none.

I don't like crying over spilled milk.........but at the same time, im not ready to crown Pace as some sort of genius......my homer glasses don't come that tinted.
We have a real good reason why Marshall was traded... to construct a winning team -- something Fox has done repeatedly -- and I'm talking about Fox determining Marshall was a team-cohesion killer -- a conclusion Fox was not the 1st HC to make.

Marshall was a probowler, but you need greater-than-some-of-parts teams to win. Look how the Eagle's dream sputtered, & the Pat's are in it every year.

Don't discount team cohesion. The TEAM is better with White & Amos than with Marshall.

Check out highlights, production stats, current skills & measurements. Both these guys are 2 of the fastest players in the draft. Plus Amos Bench pressed 21 reps, & White 23 reps. These are 2 solid picks.
