He's been in a bunch of trouble and this was the last straw. Things added up for him. It's a shame because he was the most knowledgeable host on any of the stations.
ESPN is full of meatballs and drunks or both. Jurko is insufferable and Waddle is never sober from the night before and he does the afternoon show. Kap is an embarrassment. I can't stand to listen to them.

It's really having quite the visceral impact on him. Like his soul has been torched. Weird hill to be on. Bernstein has gotten more and more angry over the last decade. Smart guy, but insufferable at times.
