You can't predict injuries but they always seem to hit you where they hurt the most. You know, a big injury to Keith would hurt.....but you lose Toews and the Hawks are done. They are just woefully short at center....but even with that, if TT jumps to the fore front they would be back in business. I wanted Kesler bigtime but no way I would part with TT or even Leddy to make it happen. I believe in what they are doing and playing George Steinbrenner by trading youth for veterans is not a way to keep their system progressing.

Dews, you said the Kings "beat the hell" out of both the Sharks and the Ducks, I disagree. They played well, I wouldn't give the Kings all the credit.

nah. just being down 3-1,3-0,7 games against champs, winning the cup. its all choking right? cmon now. that team is pretty well loaded up with talent. did they get breaks? yup. still had to come back from 3-0 and 3-1....highly skilled teams do that.

Still they were down 3-2...lets not act like they steamrolled through everyone.

There's no 80's Islanders in the NHL anymore...but there are GOOD hockey teams.

Like the Kings :fap:

Not really. What if Ducks are 1 seed, Kings 2 seed, and Hawks 3 seed? That means we have to beat both to get to the Finals to likely play the Bruins. That would be hell on Earth.

It doesn't work that way in a divisional playoff system - the Hawks only have to deal with one of those teams after they get out of their division in the playoffs. Both of those teams have to deal with each other by virtue of being in the same division (which is different than the Hawks). Now the Hawks do have to take care of business with Colorado, St Louis, Minnesota... etc.. prior to getting the opportunity to take on whoever comes from that division.

and those divisional teams are solid.

Excited to see the new way in which the Ducks will implode in the 2015 Stanley Cup Playoffs.

Probably by blowing a 3-2 series lead again. Or maybe this year, they will decide "enough of that, lets a blow a 3-1 or even a 3-0 series lead this time."

That's what I was thinking - Bonino = Saad's numbers on paper or just about. If this is the sort of position that they are looking to upgrade (and upgrade might only mean bringing a guy that is an improvement over Handzus - and then only for a season ... there are a number of guys out there this season, not to mention if you want to go longer term ... then there are still several guys that can work.

The degree of maneuvering needed to work things under the cap vary a bit by what guy you are talking about as well.

If we could have had Kesler for Leddy...I would have done that....but we still have the cap to deal with.
