Well stop stealing my ideas/thoughts. LOL!

But I guess I agree!

Sure you do not want to argue the point??????

Then again, my response was also much more eloquent and thought out with its desired

effect being presented in a manner that most would agree with.

Just sayin'

While we don't know the whole story yet, but if what's said in the article is true, not only will the driver be sued he will likely spend some time in jail.

Yep, first thing that came to mind was that they are going to be raped in court now, especially if they were robbing the store and not the truck. I can see the new Garda policies now telling employees not to get involved unless the truck itself is involved.

I hope he was at least there for a pick up, then maybe they could argue that the exchange was taking place thus putting him in the middle of it.

Unless he's an off duty cop, or he was in the store as the arm robbery happened and shot them there, or they tried to rob the vehicle, he's fucked.

You would think a person driving an armored vehicle would know the laws. Maybe I'm wrong, as I'm not a lawyer or a cop, but I'm pretty sure what he did as it's stated there is against the law.

Having to work in security, this is the exact reason why I do not want to be armed. The tricky part in this that may be put to trial is the question of who threatened who first. We'll never know. The driver may get the short end of the stick as a result.

I don't know armed security laws myself, but I know for a fact that security guards are not cops. They'll never be cops... period. We can't even act as peace officers for heavens sakes...

I'll tell you one thing, though.... He'll never be working for the company again, simply because this kind of publicity is not what they want.

Putting myself in the same shoes as the armored car employee I would do the same.

I just ran 200 rounds through my Glock last week for such an occassion.

Maybe the robbers started shooting first or had a gun to someone's head.

Can only guess at this point without details.

Yes, we should probably wait till more details emerge before we assume anything. I'm hoping the driver will be in the clear.

Knowing that the robbers are dead and most Family Dollar cameras aren't the best, the signs don't look good...
