According to CNN, around 2:15 am central time he was "buried at sea." Umm... wtf?
Let the conspiracy theories run rampant. Seriously, though, why the **** would they even contemplate doing this?? Why even tempt conspiracy theories?
I can understand respecting Islamic funeral traditions, but that has nothing to do with being buried at sea. I'm sure there will be some video or documentation that will be shown to "appease" the American public, but this sounds shady as ****.
I can hear it now, "he could easily have been killed weeks/months/years ago and this is a PR stunt by Obama for re-election." I'm not saying anything like that is true, but why does shit always have to be fucked up by the government? Are we being run by mentally deficient retards?
edit: and if I wake up tomorrow and this report on CNN is wrong, well, I blame CNN. I'm off to bed and it's 2:30 in the morning and they have repeated this report atleast 3 times in the past 15 minutes. If they did bury him at sea... well they just fucked that up.

Yeah if he's buried at sea, then there will definitely be conspiracy theories that develop out of this from that. Though I don't know what people are expecting. Does anyone actually think his body would be paraded around the US?

No... but in today's day and age, video proof is going to be demanded by a lot of people. Saddam's hanging was all over the place.
A problem I can see with Osama is that he is now buried at sea... and he was allegedly shot in the head. Probably not a great picture to be taken.
But with no video evidence, it can be easily claimed that he has been dead for a long time and this is just a PR stunt by Obama. Not saying that is true, but that can easily be said, if no video evidence is shown.

It might seem that way, but I'm certain if you did an unbiased study(not funded by game developers or advocates of simulated training) you will find that the games, if anything, add more flaws to individual performances when you're down range.
I think a good part of that deals with the games being extraordinarily flawed. I mean, yes, they have factual accuracy, but the overall experiences are entirely different. You might find a handful of ex-spec ops that had PTSD experiences say that they felt like they were "back in combat" by playing COD, SOCOM, CS or whatever game, but a lot of those people experience similar things when they watch Platoon, Saving Private Ryan, Full Metal Jacket, or The Hurt Locker.
Ultimately the very consequences can't be turned off in the real deal. The games are a great recruitment tool though, but often you'll find a lot of people join a branch of service with front-line combat pursuance that are at such a disadvantage, because their perception from games, news and movies was so far off.
I only elaborate on this point, because I have experienced first hand, the ill effects of how hard it is to train someone for a very real scenario, when they have attention spans of a 5 year old and fumble their weapon because their brain tells them to use their thumbs, but in person, they need to use their whole body.
