No, it does make sense. I was poking fun at your automatic assumption that this will be a nagging issue. I agree that it's not good news, but there's nothing to say this will be a problem during the season.

The doctor says he should make a full recovery by training camp. Key word: FULL.

I understand the point you were trying to make- that this could be some kind of nagging issue that could hamper him during the season. But when the team doctor says to expect a full recovery by training camp- he means FULL recovery as in FULLY READY TO PLAY A SEASON OF NHL HOCKEY. FULLY.

You read what the doctor said and decided "hey, I know more than a doctor. I watch hockey on tv! Nobody knows how this will affect him during the season". You are wrong. The doctor knows. And as of right now, the doctor isn't predicting any issues.

But hey, you keep on making your prognoses, Doogie. I applaud you for running a private practice and still having the time to moderate a pro sports message board. You're doing the lords work.

Im not a Dr, but my dad is and has done well in his career.

But with that said, to think that the Dr is going to come out and say anything negative about his wrist during the hawks convention is pretty stupid on your part.

I'm not a doctor, but I did stay at a Holiday Inn Express last night.

I feel like bone injuries have less of a chance to linger than muscle injuries. Bones break and then heal ... muscles seem to be a bit trickier. I have no evidence for that, just personal experience/completely uneducated guess.

CHICAGO - Chicago Blackhawks star Patrick Kane had surgery to repair a broken bone in his left wrist.

Team physician Dr. Michael Terry says in a statement Tuesday that the operation to repair a scaphoid fracture in the right wing's left wrist "went well" and a full recovery is expected.

Terry says Kane will start "modified" workouts shortly and resume full activity in six-to-eight weeks.

The Blackhawks disclosed the injury last week, saying it was discovered recently during off-season training. Kane was second on the team last season behind Jonathan Toews with 73 points, including 27 goals.

6-8 weeks, kinda good news it was a bone instead of a muscle. Either way though, not something you want to see one of your top guys have done. Hope he is well, and has a speedy, healthy recovery.

Those beer mugs sure do a lot of damage to the wrist over time.
