first off, yes of course i would want a bat at 3b like an aram.

but here is where this blows, morel plays good, and the next game he sits.

For me, I want him playing everyday..........no more omar. this is a product yet again of a bad manager

The man can play defense, can't hit for squat though. But he wasn't brought on to hit...

Sox suck at player development, and handling young players... but Morel has potential.

Omar shouldn't ever play over Alexei, Morel, or Bexxx IMO. If they think he's such a great influence in the clubhouse they should give him some "coaching" position and bring up Viciedo with his vacated roster spot.

I agree, Morel should play everyday. Hes an awesome 3rd baseman. His hitting will come around. Morel is doing what I expected at the plate, but, as has been discussed over and over again, if Dunn and Rios were hitting Morels bat would be an after thought

Too bad Ozzie doesn't understand how to manage. And our hitting coach will ruin yet another good young player. Beckham and Morel both have great defense and with the right coaching could be good hitters, too. It's a shame.

Personally, he seems pretty cool too, when he came on the show he seemed really laid back

I agree with everybody that Ozzie does not use him correctly whatsoever, and it pisses me off more than most of the other stupid things Ozzie does, but I don't see how anybody can criticize his batting. He has a decent average for a thus far not everyday player, and he's obviously capable of big days (see yesterday's game against Boston, and many of his past games). In my opinion, he could hit .300+ if used correctly in the lineup everyday.

Morel can field with best of 3B but 3B should be a power spot. CHW will need to upgrade for offense in that spot sooner rather then later

Well considering Morel is one of their top rated prospects, and locked up in an inexpensive 5 year contract, I highly doubt he'll be going anywhere.

Just because top prospect doesnt mean there isnt better options down the road

But the thing is, I highly doubt we'll look for one because he is a top prospect. And I also doubt there are many young 3B out there, if there are any, who have as much upside as Morel. He's fast, he can field his position with the best of 'em, and he's a great contact hitter who constantly improves.

Sounds like he be good 2B. Just most teams like to have a power bat at 3B. Thats all im saying.

There aren't that many power bats at 3B. There are only 5 of them in the league with 15+ HR.
