Seeing as we had threads with dead baby jokes and nothing was ever off limits before I wasn't aware cracking a joke about Detroit being full of gays was hate. I thought a joke was a joke. Apparently the Hawks gaining popularity turned everyone in pussies. I expect that from BHM, but I guess the new IHN is just as week, except we can say "****" here.

It's been a good run guys, but if this is what IHN is going to be like, I'm off.

and I'm not your fucking bro.
Well at least tolerance scares the idiots off, fine by me.

Big Time Kudos to Sarge. Probably a first for Stanley. I bet the Cup has a lot of fun out there and asks to be taken back next year.

Hells yeah! The Cup only *thinks* it knows what partying is. . .wait until they unleash the partying whoopass on it at the parade! Good times (and stories!) ahead I am sure. :D

Anybody else notice that the poster descriptions on this page include "I scored on Huet," "Falling for Byfuglien," and "Hjalmarsson Man-Crush?"

Who the hell thought of these? Maybe Dr. **** saw something that we can't see ourselves?

It may be time for a Dany poll.

edit: my poster description and bookjones somehow changed in the last 5 minutes.

Its based on the amount of posts made, so if you have been posting most-likely you have reached a new milestone. The higher up you get, the more "respectable" the rank is, I suppose, lol.

All user rankings are managed by BHP, if you wanted a custom ranking just PM him.

I couldn't be more proud of Brent... Not only for what he's doing, but I seriously couldn't be more proud as to why.

I will definitely be there, seeing as I was essentially going in the first place. I may actually be marching in it per invite, but I don't know much yet. Now that I see this, though, I might rather just watch instead.

For those going to the parade, I hope you guys understand fully what this means to me. It means more than just the Cup showing up. Its a lot more than that. Thank you so much for the support. We could definitely use all the support we can get, and I hope that my being around here does show that we're not all flamboyant, weird people.

Thank you so much! ;)

Hun, if this was a cookie cutter world like some people think in should be, it would be so boring. I was raised to embrace the differences in others and that being different doesn't mean being wrong. Enjoy your special day. Super Big Hug Happy Hug for you. :D

And trust me, at the Pride Parade, we know how to throw a good party.

This truly has to be a first for it, to be in a parade where it won't be the exact center of attention, but when people see it, they will truly light up in awe of it.

This is going to be great for the CGHA as well as the team to come out to the community with this. I seriously couldn't be any more proud of the Blackhawks than I already am.

The hockey world as everyone knows is a very tough world to be in. I could only imagine what Brendan went through, seeing as the "coming out" process is hard on everyone that does. For me, sure it was school and I was 13, but its nothing like being a college hockey player in a hockey environment, where your skills are seen and your actions outside the rink are seen even closer than the skills.

You guys make me feel really good in seeing the multitudes of support like this. Its always a day to be proud of, but to see IHN also in support... I couldn't be more proud of you all.

I'm very proud to be a member of the IHN family, and this thread is proof of why.

Thank you all so much!

I think its a great gesture on the Hawks behalf and the parade organizers to allow it. Couldn't be more proud of our Hawks.

Thoughts on who volunteers to "fill in" for Soaps at the pride parade?

Maybe Kaner can do it -- he'd probably be too drunk to know what's going on and wouldn't know the difference from a straight parade. But if he knew how hot (and fun) a lot of the bi chicks are, he'd sober up for the day.

Sopel did it because he lives in Chicago. I'm sure he'll still be doing it.

I almost laughed at the 2nd part.

My favorite teams
 1. Chicago White Sox
 1. Chicago Fire
 1. Chicago Bears
 1. Chicago Blackhawks
Parade was fun. Sopel is pure class. It was a little sad seeing him in his Hawks jersey.

I wonder how many complaints homophobes sent to the organization.

You know there had to be that one guy...

Some Montreal kid said "*** Chicago Hockey Association    "

You jealous up there with the "worlds most romantic" language?

Unfortunately for you the gays at the pride parade were waving rainbow flags which don't have any white in them.

LOL

I noticed that someone mentioned the fact that the larger cities have *** leagues in them. He's right.

There's even an association in Los Angeles. I was preparing to train with them before I moved here. I may end up joining Chicago's group eventually, but I haven't gotten around to it yet. The other issue being that they train in the west burbs and mainly play games in the Northern burbs. I also happen to lead Chicago's largest "Gaymer" group as its president. That alone is crazy work, considering we had a recent venue change as of last month.

The CGHA is pretty famous in the community for their work and travels around the USA and the world. If you also remember, the CGHA also ended up getting an invite from the Blue Jackets and the Columbus group to play a friendly game in Nationwide Arena. If you didn't know, it made the community news. It was a big deal considering the NHL teams were not open around such things until recently, so very good for the Jackets to do.
