Agreed. Can't wait to see Castro, Cashner, and Jackson become the faces of the franchise.

Most people around here have never heard of Castro it's pretty sad.

Name one Cub fan who doesn't know who Castro is.

Everyone at school. Depends on what you define as a "fan". And anyone who didn't watch this year (bandwaggoners).

Prospect rankings are almost meaningless. It's nice to try to project how players will do in the majors, but we have absolutely no way of knowing whether or not a particular prospect will pan out. The Cubs have had so many "can't miss" prospects in the past that tore up the minors and then flamed out upon being called up.

Jackson looks to be a solid player and hopefully he'll continue to develop and be called up once he's ready.

I'm pretty sure that even those who were largely disinterested this season at least know who the starting shortstop is.

If only, they didn't know who Santo was either.

I agree.....it is exciting to see the farm system produce some players that fans can get excited about. These three will hopefully be around for many years and provide us with a reason to be excited about Cubs baseball!!!

Last night, MLB Network had their annual top 50 prospects in baseball show, and Brett Jackson was listed 46th best in baseball. He was the only Cub on the list. Chris Archer was 47th for anyone who cares.

I saw the special on TV but i just found the link on Cubs.com with the complete list... Cubs outfielder Brett Jackson earns spot on MLB.com's Top 50 Prospects list | cubs.com: News

expected with Castro and Cashner graduated and Vitters unimpressive.

But B-Jax over Arch? Hmmm....
