Instead of the Soriano thread not being about Soriano, discuss here.

Call up seems to be in doubt. Being involved in a trade isn't out of the question. I will check if the I-Cub game is done and archived yet.

Watched the game and it doesn't appear to be injury. Unfortunately it was an away feed of game so they didn't mention the player half of the double switch at all. However BJax made the final out and he was part of a double switch after a Vitters error (maybe he does have somethings to work on still with 22 errors at 3B) allowed 3 unearned runs after Rusin got the first two outs in the sixth inning. The I-Cubs only used two pitchers tonight so if I had to guess orders from Chicago was to leave as many fresh arms as possible for callups in the next 24 hours. Exhibit B to my theory is the fact that they let Cabrera hit for himself instead of taking him down for a pinch hitter in a relatively close game (4 runs).

I had 2 ideas:

1) Maybe the Cubs are gunna trade Lahair o Soriano today and they want here for gametime, so he left early.

2) Since LaHair is struggling, they are gunna bench him and move him to the 4th OF.

Side note: Sappelt didn't hear anything about being called up yet...

But again I would be okay with trading Jackson. The luster is coming off of him as a prospect and we have a ton of talented OF in Sczcur, Soler, Almora.

Cubs haven't announced that they've made a trade...

I don't know what is going on, but a real writer has said that Jackson is joining the team which is why I passed it on. I find it odd that Passan would be the only one to know that, and think it is at least as likely that Passan is just going off the early buzz about BJax being called up without any confirmation.

I don't see why he would be called up, it isn't the Epstein Hoyer style to call up a guy who strikeouts so much.

Passan didn't say today, but "this week"... I don't trust him or Kaplan too much tbh

Epstein and Hoyer have never really showed any problems with guys that strikeout a ton. I don't the strikeouts bother them more than it indicates that his other production is going to be less than good.

Well all I can say for certain at this point is that BJax being pulled from the game wasn't an obvious he is gone moment like Rizzo was. I would be willing to put money on Sappelt being the one called up at this point.

I would think Sappelt would get called up too. He said on Twitter, I don't know hwta's happening but I thought I was next after Reed Johnson. But he didn't say anything else of a call-up.

He just posted that he was't going up on twitter. However should remember that the game is at 11:30 and getting to Chicago by game time shouldn't be a big stretch.

Yeah, I saw that... I posted that before he said anything. I wonder who gets the called. Dab that is true, but they usually don't let you play in 2 games in one day for 2 different levels. If he does have to get into the game.
