Acquire and keep as much talent as you can in as many positions as you can. View 2-deep at every role as a starter.

Win the battle of attrition by all means at all costs. This is the most war and work like aspect of football. Protect your defense with offense. Limit snaps by running clock and possession. Rotate players even more if not in super bowl mode. Rotate guys whenever possible to get through season. Rest long term stars for stretches of season until necessary. Doctors must collaborate.
Exploit compensatory draft at every angle. (Trades/contract synergy/buy-sell specific off-seasons)

I think you will see the Eagle and Ravens snd 49ers leading categories of compensatory draft picks because having 12 picks per year leads to better teams as the largest single FUCKING FACTOR MORE THAN EVEN QBs and COACHES AND THEMzoTHER **** BeARs are too stupid to recognize this one fucking simple fact that will forever prevent them from competing.
Is this guy ok?

Fun fact - the Ravens had six 4th round draft picks last year. Six! They also had two 1st round picks, as well as having two 1st rounders in 2021. At one point, the Eagles had three 1st rounders in last year’s draft, before making a trade-down move that netted them an extra high 1st in this draft & an extra 2nd in the 2024 draft. Both organizations are adept at stockpiling draft picks and then using them well. There’s a little too much thought going on here into coming up with some sort of magic drafting formula, when the real secret is simply drafting more frequently and evaluating players better than everyone else…

As much as I like the ravens always looking like a functional organization I really can’t get behind a team that drafts a first round safety and signs the highest paid safety in the league in fa. Invest in oline/dline all day. Safety especially x2 ?. I like and am very jealous what the eagles have done for hurts. And they did that without ignoring oline, dline and secondary.

  1. Chicago Cubs
  1. Chicago Bulls
  1. Chicago Bears
  1. Tennessee Volunteers
All I know is neither organization would **** up and draft VJJ in the 3rd round to run and shit all over the offense

Letting Roquan go hopefully shows us that Poles knows where to prioritize spending. I think priority #1 is the D line this year. Our back end is pretty solid and has youth. We fell into Sanborn at mlb and can surround him with low income vets.

It will be really interesting to see what Poles does with the oline. Can the bears trust Jenkins to stay healthy? I think Whitehair stays. I think Jones at LT has shown solid potential. But you'd love to have a world beater there. Does he stick with Patrick at center? Definitely upgrading RT I would think. Or does he just blow the whole thing up?? They have to prioritize investing on the oline so maybe draft young competition for this year and years to come?

And then what does Poles think of Claypool. Having a bonafide #1 receiver would be nice, but I'm not sure where you can get that this year. WR is apparently weak this year in the draft.

Regardless, should be a fun off-season.

I think Jones, Whitehair and Jenkins stay. Whitehair has one year left and it doesn't make sense to make another hole by cutting him. You can draft a late round pick at G in hopes he can replace Whitehair in 24. We ought to at minimum, sign average level guys at RT and C, so we can go into draft going BPA.

For receiver, the goal should be to bump Mooney and Claypool down on the depth charts. I think trading a 3rd-5th round pick for a bad contract can be done here, eat the contract if we have to, to get the lowest pick to have to trade away. Thinking Hopkins or someone similar to that situation.

The Eagles spend premium capital on WR through the draft, almost every year, and seemingly indifferent to the misses such as Reagor over Jefferson. They are also willing to trade 1sts for high end WR talent.

The Bears passed on multiple good WRs last year in the draft, and the fruitless Claypool trade can assure you that they will not spend a 1st next year at WR.

There is no way in hell they are building like the Eagles. Lol. The teams prioritize that position in 2 completely different ways. Eagles will invest in WR talent, Bears look for cast offs like Claypool and Harry and are content with Fields doing everything. Just as Lamar does everything for the Ravens.

Given how obvious it was that A Rob was not going to be extended and declining. This is like the 2nd or 3rd season in a row that the team is content with Darnell Mooney as their #1 WR, a 5th round pick from Tulane. Lmfao. Nothing against Mooney but it’s flat out embarrassing how little this organization values that position. Hopefully the new regime surprises me and their recent moves are not indicative that they feel the same.

Is that a legitimate reason to ignore this thread?

Interesting thought exercise. Though
I'm not sure we have to follow either team to a
T, I'd think we would lean more towards the Ravens script.

The Bears already have the #1 rushing offense. And while alot of that has to do with Fields, Getsy's run scheme has plenty to do with it as well. So, to me, as long as Getsy is here I don't see us getting away from the run. Would be nice to get a top paid WR prospect, but I think the staff would prioritize a TE that could be as great of a blocker than a receiver.

I also think Flus is more traditional and has a conservative approach. Control the clock. Limit possessions. Play hard nosed football. Lean on the defense type of guy. Head Coach's tend to take care of their side of the ball. So I see us spending more there. But the trenches will be key on both sides of the ball.
I wonder going forward how often Flus & Poles will clash or not agree on picks and FA's?

You got it all figured out after one off-season eh?
