We're going to start out the season with 2 losses at least. No way we beat the Spurs/Celtics, barring an injury.

2 easy games and 4 hard games on the Circus Trip.

Our stretch run is pretty tough. We can't be trying to make some big rally at the end of the season this year. Have to be around .500 at least going into April if we want to make the playoffs.

I actually think we will beat the Spurs at home (It will be Spurs' 2nd of back to back game) and it's our home opener.

Also, did you notice that we have 22 back to backs and most are against very very good teams?

Also, how the league LOVES Lakers? Well, they have first 17 of 21 games at HOME. wow!!! just wow!!!

I am so nervous going into the season, I can really seeing us taking a major step back if Luol doesnt produce, James struggles, and John doesnt light it up on a nightly basis.

My favorite teams
  1. Chicago Cubs
  1. Chicago Bulls
  2. Golden State Warriors
  1. Chicago Bears
  1. Chicago Blackhawks
I sense an epic fail to start the season, but that's not really out of the ordinary for this team.

i agree... seems like the league LOVES the lakers, but most of the final 3rd of their season is packed with road games. so they definitely pay for it later

I hope the Bulls have good home giveaways this year. This past season they had no bobbleheads or jacks in the box.

Yeah, November will be a bitch.

No different then past years, but it be nice not to have to climb out of a hole to start out the season.

Especially that 4 game stretch:

hu 19 @ LA Lakers 9:30pm
Sat 21 @ Denver 8:00pm
Mon 23 @ Portland 9:00pm
Thu 26 @ Utah 9:30pm

When I think more about it, I actually don't mind the hard schedule in November.

1 - Rose actually starts out pretty well to start the season (unlike Gordon).
2 - Deng is actually will be healthy to start the season.
3 - Vinny gets tested early on (good thing or bad thing?)
4 - December looks pretty easy to me.

So lets say, if we don't do pretty bad to start the season (I was thinking 6-9 for the first 15 games) then our next month (December) looks pretty good with mostly home games - if we hit the stride then, we can be pretty darn good and who knows we might be in the 45-50 win range.

I know that sounds more like optimistic but when you think about it (especially if Noah and Tyrus have improved even slightly from their last couple of months at the end of the last season), then it's not so bad.

Anybody with me on this one?

What if the Bulls start off bad 04-05 bad, does Vinny feel the heat from mgt?

December 2nd - Bulls vs. Pistons obviously is the must see game of the season.

I'm not really excited for the Celtics games. Maybe if Garnett goes down, but ever since Garnett has played for the Celtics, the Celtics have completely obliterated the Bulls.

The Miami games are always fun to watch, but Ben Gordon was always playing a big role in the Miami games. This year, if Wade goes off, we might not have anyone to match it.

Against the Pistons of course. The long anticipated Kirk vs. Ben matchup XD

I wonder, if Kirk plays Ben mostly all the time (they'll both be coming off the bench I believe barring some injury) and Ben doesn't have a great game, is it Kirk's defense or a bad shooting night for Ben?

Probably a bad shooting night. Kirk is affective at being an annoyance. You will know how affective he is on Gordon by turnovers and bad shots (well maybe not in Gordon's case). Kirk's ability to keep Gordon in front of him and forcing him into awkward shots is all you can ask. But too many guys can make those shots these days for someone to judge solely from a stat book whether effective defense was used or not. Salmons is the starter though, can Salmons hinder Gordon? Can Gordon do anything with Salmons?
