I wouldnt say its a great move but its pretty good. The guy can shoot but i wouldnt dig too deep into his #s at GS. He's better than what i thought we would be getting for a backup point. The team is almost there. Too bad we didnt get to resign Brad.

Also props to Meth on the 'Coming To America' joke. I was gonna say the same. SEXUAL CHOCOLATE!!![ame=http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=nHRERLEM2eE]YouTube - Sexual Chocolate![/ame]

C.J. Watson's contract is a 2-year deal worth $6.5 million and a non-guaranteed third season, according to source.

It's mandatory now, when CJ makes a shot, you have to yell "Got damn that boy can shoot....he good!"

I'm not saying the Bulls have ever, but teams have and there were quite a bit steals this year in the draft. But, I would of trade a 2nd round pick for Watson, too, no hesitation at all.

BTW, this is what the Bulls do with useless draft picks.

4.5 is solid.

We only need to fill 2 more spots right?

If the FO keeps going the direction they are, then they'll fill it out nicely like they already have been.

Technically, there are 4 or 5 spots left. Being that's it's a 15 man roster.

Your right tough only 2 more can work off that 4.5mil. The 2 or 3 will get that league low 440k to 880k contracts. That is if they choose to fill out all 15 spots.

You dont need to have 15 guys under contract though. 13 is the min.

4.5M left is good but not great if we want a solid 2 more players for backup C and backup SG. Thats another reason why i would dump Johnson. That 1.5M could be pretty big for us.

nice pick up!!!

I was busy paying attention to Anthony Morrow I forgot all about C.J. Watson but that is a solid pick up and a good back up for Rose

now all we need is a backup center and maybe a back up SG (take a chance on Josh Howard or Tracy McGrady!) but I like how the Bulls added good YOUNG veterans and didn't overpay for any of them

I thought 12 was always the minimum?..:dunno:

Anyway, reason being. Having a full 15 man roster is great when the following situations arise:

- Trades: Using your bottom half of the roster to use for matching salaries.

- Injuries: Never hoping it happens....but sometimes ya gotta get your last guys to play a good bit of minutes depending on who it is whose hurt.

On the other hand....

Now, I'm also well aware that we could go with the 12/13 man roster & if guys get injured or what not we can bring up D-Leaguers to sign for 10-Day etc contracts.

I just believe it is a good thing to fill out the roster (positions 13-15) with the league minimum contracts of 440K thru 990K to have for reliability reasons that's all. I guess I just would like to see the team cover it's ass just in case. LOL

I was under the impression it was 12 as well. I know years ago it use to be 8. Perhaps though a few years back they raised it to 13.

True, it could be.

The thing I'm basing off of is info I've read off NBA.com in the past plus...NBA 2K games recently have had it at 12 player minimum. Yeah I know it's just a video game but wouldn't they follow the real rules anyway?

Yes..thats what I go by..and in the early decade I could always get by having only 8 on a roster in the video games. I noticed a few months ago 2k require 12 and have read elsewhere that the NBA teams required 12 players on a roster. But this 13 player requirement is news to me. :dunno:
