According to people here, this would be a "cake walk" schedule.

Lost to the Nets, Clippers & 76ers.

and won 14 of their last 18...

Yup, I'll take it.

no production from the Center or Shooting Guard position, we are losing games we are suppose to win even without Noah at Center

it is only going to get tougher for Rose as the season goes unless the Bulls add a SG that can do ANYTHING OFFENSIVELY!

Bogans average 3.6 PPG as a STARTING SG in the NBA that is PATHETIC

not saying to Bulls should do a MAJOR DEAL but at least try to pick up SOMEBODY that can score

the bulls are fine. they just need a bruce bowen. cj is a smart player, i wish i saw more of him. these past 2 games he's been clutch. i hope asik continues to progress. taj really needs to learn how to play defense w/o fouling.

I'm starting to feel like this is the stretch where Thibs earns his money. The initial extra boost after you lose a player like Noah and everyone steps up is over, now it's the hard slog for the next few weeks. Thibs has to get the team up every night without the energy and versatility Noah brings.

Everyone knows Bogans has to go so no point harping on that. But beyond that Thibs needs to figure out how to stop Rose & Boozer from being so exposed defensively. I think that has to mean more Asik and less Thomas. Thomas can start and give you some good minutes, but we need more of Asik because he's quick enough to actually contest shots. Also Asik is young enough to get up and down, Thomas lumbers down the court and it really hurts how long it takes the team to set up on both ends.

Offensively the team needs to execute and get looks for everyone. You can't expect Rose/Boozer/Deng to score every point, you have to involve the role players. Thibs is probably going to have to change some schemes, if Brewer can't give the shooting to allow him to fit what he wants to do with the starting lineup then he needs to suck it up and figure out what sets he can use with the players he has. Likewise with Korver, pretending he'll become Ray Allen isn't working, time to live with his limitations and try to run some plays that get him set shots.

I thought we would be able to handle it without a scoring SG but with Noah out it really seems like we need one more then ever. Rose is putting to much on his shoulders because he isn't confident to pass to guys like Bogans or Brewer....C. Lee, B. Rush are guys who would fit great here.

Something has to be up.

Either some key player is playing hurt and we don't know it, or Bogan's is teaching the rest of the team lessons on how to earn starting spots.

Obviously. This team is definetly not going to beat the Celtics, Heat, or Magic in the playoffs (And that's IF they meet them)

The thing is that Lee and Rush have career scoring rates lower than Brewer does. Brewer can score, he just can't shoot. You look at Brewer's last full year in Utah and he scored around 10 points a game on layups, dunks and free throws, with a few jump shots thrown in pulling his overall average up to nearly 14 a game.

Thibs just has to accept he doesn't have the SG he'd ideally like on the roster and adjust his usage of the players he does have. He's a rookie coach so I'm willing to cut him some slack on this, but if by the end of the year he's still starting Bogans for "shooting", still running Korver around like a headless chook, and Brewer still isn't getting the cuts to the basket (especially in semi-transition) he needs to score then you've got to do something. Maybe get an experienced offensive minded assistant to help him with his schemes.

I think coaches need to remember it's a hell of a lot easier to change the coach to fit the roster than it is to change the roster to fit the coach. Suck it up and deal with the players you have and get the most out of them.
