Wait now, Atlanta is a team FULL of all-star caliber players. These guys don't play up to their potential. We dominated them in the first half, but then we can't be shocked when they actually play hard and catch us off guard.
I watched the last 3 hawk games, and the Hawks pulled the same shit. They didn't want to share the ball with each other, JJ wanted straight iso, and ignored all of Kirk's play calling, Horford was basically stat padding, and Crawford was a catch and shoot player(other than some terrible attempts at heroics.)
But somehow in the 3rd quarter of this game, I don't know what possessed Horford, I don't know why JJ followed the playset, and I have no idea where Damien Wilkins found his groove, but it happened.
It's not the teams that we're playing. It's not them being on the road, it's our inability to adjust off nights where Rose struggles. If Rose is having a bad night, the rest of the team has to be confidant in the next hot hand. Boozer? Not hot tonight, I was embarrassed for him. Noah? Don't expect a big man with a thumb brace to carry the team. Deng? Maybe, maybe it's better to let Deng get 30 shots when he has been playing at another level recently. The looks Luol got were terrible tonight, and at no point did the offense play through him. CJ? Sorry, no, you don't let CJ get streaky when he's up against a guy like Kirk or a much taller Joe Johnson playing the point.
If we can learn how to adjust off the match-ups when ROSE is having an off night, we can beat anyone.
