The rumors really got me pumped. I think everybody knew the Tyrus one and I thought there could be chance we moved up, but never really thought we would do it. By the way was that your speculation on 10 and 11 or did Jonathan supply those for you?

I just threw out 10/11 I believe. I don't know if he specifically named any place they'd move up, just mentioned they were looking to move up.

Listening to it and IMO it sounds like Terrance Williams and Blair are the type of players the Bulls are looking for.....

I wonder who we want in the top 10 if we'd move up

I highly doubt we can move up that much where we can draft Hill. Don't get me wrong, I'd love to have Hill on our team, but we're talking about going up to the 2-5 range in the draft.

Did he mean that we are trading Tyrus to move up in the draft? If so than I don't like it. If we are just trading 16 and 26 then I'm ok with it. If we trade Tyrus it better be for Bosh or Amare not for the tenth pick. Tuesday is the lottery then we can see who the possible trade partners are.

Danny Green is really growing on me if we don't trade up, he is a guy I would like to take at 26. Plays defense and hits the three, that's what we need next to Rose. I wouldn't be mad if we took Mullens with the 16th pick, but if Blair is still there we've gotta get him.

I am gonna take a look at Terrance Williams it sounds like he could be a good pick as well but I think I'd rather have a big man with that high of a pick.

I would absolutely hate to package 16 and 26 to moveup in this draft. It would nothing more than trading up for fools gold. I don't think we'll be able to get into the top 5 where the real top level talent will get selected, so it's makes no sense to try to move up.

The Bulls just need to make sure they draft a guy with potential and a guy that can be a solid rotation guy. A draft day where we end up with Mullens and Green would fit the bill perfectly.

Jonathon didn't exactly have a ringing endorsement for Mullens now did he. I'm still intrigued by him and think that were actually in a good spot to groom him into a player. We have our superstar already in Rose, so we'd expect exactly ZERO leadership from Mullens and I think Miller would be a nice 1 year mentor for him as well.

Anyhow, the rumor of us moving up in the draft somewhat floored me. I wonder who Pax/Gar have their eyes on?

Packaging the 16 and 26 to move up is interesting. I think what it amounts to is them thinking that Blair, Terrence Williams, Henderson, etc might not be there at 16. It tells me essentially they have 12 or 13 players that like and then there is a drop off. My gut tells me they would move up for Blair.

Potential trade targets for me are teams in the 9-12 range that have PG needs and would be able to move down to 16 and still get a solid one from a large group of PGs that includes Lawson, Flynn, Holliday, Teague, Maynor, Collison, Mills.

Those teams for me are:

Bucks
Nets
Warriors

Nets especially make a lot of sense to me. Right now they are at 11. If you package 16 and
26 to get to 11 to get Blair then you have to do it I think. Nets can get a PG they want at 16 and get a wing like Young at 26.

I'm all for moving up in the draft...makes the night of June 26th that much more interesting.

I think 16 and 26 get us a 9-13 pick. wed also have to throw in tyrus or next years first to get around picks 3-8.

Hey Doug,

Jonathan mentioned that the Bulls were going to be working out players that weren't going to be their at 16. Would you be able to find out specifically who he was referring to?

P.S.

Love the podcast; look forward to it every week.

My guess is they will work out Evans, DeRozan, Curry, Blair, Williams, Henderson from that 7-12 group.

After thinking about it a bit, the only player I can see Pax and Gar targeting in the top 10 is DeRozen. Unless they are 100% sold on Blair or Clark and they are willing to move up to make sure they get their man.

If the bulls "could" move up and say, trade 16, 26 and next years 2nd rounder to get Steph Curry at 7-9, would we do that? Is that better than keeping the 16 and 26? Same thing for DeRozan?

Are we realistically looking to get a starter out of this draft, or just depth?

The only player in the draft which I could see cracking our lineup for sure is blake griffin. Maybe blair at the 4, but having him on the court with noah at the center position is like 3 on 5....hed have to come off the bench.

It'll be updated as they are announced. Its just something for everyone to reference during the draft season.

I'm no draft insider but what I've gathered from around the 'net is that there are a lot of teams that are gaining interest in Blair and he could be the guy people see moving up draft boards. If the Bulls are sold on him why not package both picks? The odds of getting a significant contributor are low at 26th overall, gotta trust your scouts and go for it if they think he's the guy.
