What!? I know you're a young pup but how have you never heard of the Shinning? It's only one of Jack Nicholson's most chilling performances of all time & the best novel Stephen King ever wrote.

Please tell me you know who Jack Nicholson & Stephen King are. :woohoo:

Of course I know who those are.

If you mean The Shining, yes I've heard of it. I read it as literally shin-ing (as in the body part with ing on the end) and was slightly confused. Though I have to say, if I'm psychic, I'm a really bad one.

clone, im telling you, youve got the shinning
I've got no clue what the shinning is, but I'm glad I've got it.

If Kirk scored 30 in a playoff game, we'd have to check to see if Fred was seriously harmed by the flying objects and implosion of his house yet again. Fortunately, Kirk did not score 30, and Fred is safe. When Kirk returns to the way he played the first two games in game 4, all will be right with the world once again.

I actually went with a transitor radio to the middle of an open field to listen to the game went it looked as though Hinrich would score 20. When Hirnich hit 20, I was hit by a meteor. We're recording now, should have something up soon. Great game, although I almost had a heart attack with the free throws at the end.

If it's one thing this team needs, it's some more players like Miller who can consistently knock down both FT's at the end of games.

Watching the playoffs thus far, I honestly will not be heart broken if we don't get one of the Big 3 FA's. Get Rose a legit #2 option (Boozer, Johnson, ***) & I think we're golden. Mark my words: Rose will be a Top 5 player next season.

I agree with you. I never personally thought the Bulls would get the top 3 guys.

But this is the question. Does JR pay the max for a Boozer or a Johnson? I think they'll be able to command it with the amount of teams with cash to spend.

Why do we have to go for the oldest two fas. I'd pursue a trade first.

IMO if we don't get one of the big 3 we have to go for:
Amare
Boozer
Lee
Johnson
***
Others

Pretty much in that order. I listed the PFs first as they are the most glaring hole in our team and I think regardless, that should be the first spot we fill. Chances are, if we can get a cheaper, but still high level PF (perhaps Lee?) then we might be able to get a pretty decent SG too.

A sg doesn't help you at all. Rose still gets doubled on the pick and roll with Taj. If you can't get LeBron or Bosh you have to get one of the four power fowards

I don't want to bash/blame Rose, I'm optimistic about him and think he can be the best PG in the league next season. That said, I don't think he's had a particularly good playoffs so far.

There have been positive signs: he hasn't suffered the turnover problems that plagued him towards the end of the year (and indeed, in last season's series against Boston). But while he's scoring I think the Cavs have played him pretty well. I'm sure if they were given the choice before the series, they'd take 27.3 points a game from Rose if it was going to take him 26 FGA to get them.

That's really the disappointing aspect to me, 26 FGA and 4 FTA a game are not star numbers, let alone top 5 player numbers. Points from the line are critical, and in a series like this they might decide it. The Cavs actually are vulnerable, the don't want Z out there at all, and Shaq has been out and is rusty. Sideshow Bob is the only big they're comfortable playing big minutes. You get him into foul trouble and the Cavs are soft inside.

There's still at least 2 more games for Rose to make me look like an idiot and I hope he does. Certainly his game 3 was far and way his best so far.

After seeing the highlights of game 3 on tv, i wouldn't be surprised if the bulls pull this thing off and eliminate the cavs.

"If we beat them once we can beat them twice. if we beat them twice then we can beat them thrice."
-Al Joseph

We can do this.

i meant for you to read it shin-ning. it was a simpsons reference that nobody caught. (halloween episode parody of the shining, bart has the "shining" but to avoid "getting sued" willy pronounced it the "shinning.") but the "shining" applies too.

told you we'd take one.

derrick rose may be the best player, noah may be the heart, but kirk hinrich is the key to victory. If we can get hinrich going, we've got a really good basketball team. luckily we have clonetroopers' voodoo for that.

kirk hinrich is gonna suck the time the bulls play. i see him getting like 3 pts that game.

;)

You are NOT going to beat Lebron James with Rose and Rudy ***....no way...

I don't know how many of you guys remember but Jordan and Pippen were two of the top 10 in the league and THE BEST BY FAR at their positions in their primes. Nobody was going to beat Jordan using the formula like this so I don't expect to defeat Lebron or Howard using that formula. The best chance you have of beating Lebron is to get Bosh. Other than that, you need TWO players. Boozer AND Johnson could cause problems, one or the other by themselves is just not enough.

youre right on this, because boozer already has deron williams (one of the top 3 point guards in the league) next to him but i dont see this combo taking out lebron

Our best chance of beating LeBron is not to beat him, it's to get him on our team. Honestly the way the Cavs have looked, LeBron is full of crap about caring about winning if he stays with them. They're old and if they don't win this year I don't see how they can win at all.

I agree, your not going to beat bron unless you get Wade or Bosh or Stat. You need a game changer. A legit second star.
