The Bulls are going to pay Kurt below whatever his market value is, simply because he has been paid above his market value for so long. The Bulls are the last ones who would have to pay a bunch of money for Hinrich. That said, we may not need him if Watson matures into his role. Watson is a better scorer than Hinrich and just has to settle in to the combo guard role. Its just a matter of Watson becoming a bit more cerebral and things coming to him automatically. Brewer is sound defensively and so is Bogans. Watson doesn't do a bad job either on the defensive side of the ball. Hinrich may come back but he will have to realize his role and it may well be reduced and more of a sentimental thing at that point.

It's KIRK dammit! Y'all are a bunch of Del Negros. :) Bogans will not be on the team in 2yrs, I think that's almost a given. And yes Watson will still be on his deal but let's not kid ourselves, Watson is not & never will be a point guard. He does an OK job at it from time to time but he cannot run an offense the way Kirk can. Defensively it's pretty much a wash. But what's with this 'accepting his role' crap? When has he ever not accepted a role on the team? I don't remember him putting up a fuss when Rose was drafted or when he was sent to the bench as the 6th man. Accepting a role is not going to be a problem for him.

Now I'm not campaigning for his return, I'm just saying don't be surprised if he comes back.

i dont think thibs is a fan of small ball. So i dont think we'll see too much of watson at the 2. If it's watson or kirk, i'm going to go with watson. Kirk isn't really going to run the offense too much better than watson IFF watson learns the sets, realizes how to play non-nellie basketball. He's improved in the short time that i've watched him.

plus this a brand new team. Let them build a little chemistry before we render judgement.

Thibodeau closes out the games usually with Watson at the 2.

I'm not saying that the Bulls have zero chance at the 1 seed.

But how exactly is the Bulls' front court, or perimeter, better than Boston's?
