Haha, Robinson isn't a point guard either , but I totally understand what you're saying -- Belinelli is more apt to being a shooting guard. Honestly, I think he might surprise some people this year, in terms of his contributions. He wasn't half bad last year on New Orleans. He might look at this year as a change to showcase himself in ordet to land a multi-year deal next year.

I do agree that Teague's looked rough, but with his pedigree, I think it'll just take him time to adjust to the speed on the NBA and have a better understanding of how he has to contribute to the orchestration of an offense. I mean, the guy is only 19.
I am actually looking forward to Belinelli's play this year. I wrote an article saying how beneficial he would be to the Bulls if Thibs could inspire some good defense into him.

Yeah, I'll definitely give Teague time, just hoping he can adjust to the NBA quicker sooner than later. Guess it doesn't have to be too quick, huh? Long term plan for him is to probably have him be the bench point after Hinrich's two years are up?

Hmmm, you sure? This is from Nick Borges --

Besides, with the Rose injury, why would Teague start in the D-League? Even with limited minutes, I'd imagine he'd find some time behind Hinrich and Belinelli. I still don't trust Hamilton's health, either. He's sure to find 10-15 minutes a night, which I think will be good for him. I look at Teague as more of a future trade asset as opposed to a security blanket if Rose is unable to return to form because of the knee injury. Hold on, I reminded myself that Derrick Rose may never be the same again. I'm going to throw up, now.

Yep. They would have to start pre-season. But Marquis could be moved to D-League and brought back in the holding period, which I think is less than a day. He would never have to play a D-League game. The question wasn't about the likelihood of going after Josh Howard, but addressing how it's possible to sign that 14th and even 15th(w/ another Injury/Butler) player.

Rose isn't on the IL already?

Not yet. The official period for the IL starts on the first game-day of the preseason, I believe. Unless I missed any changes w/ it on the new CBA.

NBA Rumors: Chicago Bulls interested in Josh Howard?
11 days ago by Zach Mink

CHICAGO — The Chicago Bulls have made several additions in the offseason and currently have 13 people under contract for the 2012-13 season. After losing most of the “Bench Mob”, the Bulls could still add players to retool the roster and may be interested in former all-star Josh Howard.

Marc Spears of Yahoo! tweeted Wednesday that Chicago is one of three teams interested in the veteran forward, who was rumored to be working out in Virginia this week.

Howard was a member of the Utah Jazz in 2011, averaging 8.7 points in 23 minutes per game. The veteran guard/forward spent most of his career with the Dallas Mavericks before being traded to the Washington Wizards in 2010 in the Caron Butler deal. Howard then signed as a free agent with the Jazz in 2011.

While the Bulls don’t have a lot of depth behind Luol Deng at small forward, they already have 13 players on the roster after the signings of Kirk Hinrich, Vladmir Radmanovic, Nate Robinson, Nazr Mohammed and Marco Belinelli in the offseason.

Howard was a scorer and rebounder earlier in his career, but his numbers (and minutes) have steadily declined since leaving the Mavericks.

The other two teams reportedly interested in Howard are the New York Knicks and the Charlotte Bobcats. The Knicks already signed former Bull Ronnie Brewer, who would’ve been a better fit than Howard from the start. Brewer was Chicago’s best option at the 2 throughout the season, filling in for oft-injured Rip Hamilton.

In an already dismal offseason for Bulls fans, this shouldn’t inspire any confidence. It’s going to be a long season until Derrick Rose returns, and the Bulls will need every asset they can get to stay afloat while the former MVP recovers.
