For what its worth, even though this is the only website that reported it and then bleacher report picked up on it. It seems the Bulls are looking to Move Boozer like most are hoping would happen. Not taking it too seriously until it picks up steam but its a start. Check it out and give your thoughts.

That's all well and good, but I doubt it happens, at least I doubt it happens before they play again. Who knows when that's going to be. NBA is headed into a worse labor fight than the NFL is in right now. I honestly wouldn't be surprised if the entire season is wiped out next year.

Move him and a pick to GS for Ellis. Then use the money saved in the deal for Taj's backup. Then we can work on uncluttering the mess that is the backup SGs in Bogans, Brewer, and Korver, and I would preferably keep Bogans to backup Ellis. THEN pick up the phone to Noah and Kareem and get that mentor/student training going. If we trade Booz I see the lineup being something like this:

PG: Rose/Watson
SG: Ellis/Bogans/Brooks or Thompson
PF: Gibson/FA pickup/Thomas
SF: Deng/nobody since he practically plays all game anyways
C: Noah/Asik/Thomas

Good, that means LeBron will certainly be proven wrong on winning at least 7 titles in Miami.

Would the lockout freeze all contracts until a new season begins? Or do players get paid regardless?

According to a report on ESPN, the Warriors and Sixers are talking about swapping Ellis and Iggy. That would take away to possibilities for Chicago.

I'm personally not a big fan of Ellis and would love a shooting guard who fits well with the defensive scheme, is a decent shooter and can drive to the hoop. Iggy fills all those needs. As for the Bulls missing Boozer, I'm not too convinced that a Noah/ Gibson combo is enough firepower on the low block. So Jo better starts training with Kareem or Hakeem.

But given that the Sixers already have a pretty good low post scorer, I doubt Boozer for Iguadala will happen.

I wonder, if Ellis is available... would the Warriors possibly be inclined in trading away Lee and Ellis to us, for say a package including Boozer, Asik and maybe some picks or maybe Korver? Just a thought.

I of course am on the "Howard or Bust" wagon, but I hope we can figure out a good #2 plan.

they already have David Lee, a high priced underachiever in his own right...

You need to get off that wagon quick because it is not happening.

ddnt many ppl say the same thng bout melo 2 NY but he ended up there

Yeah, but he wanted to go there the whole time. Apparently Howard doesn't even consider Chicago as one of his top choices (though he should).

Difference: Melo wanted to go there and used the Bulls as pawns in order to force a trade to NY.

Howard doesn't want to come here.

Bleacher Report "picking up on a story" doesn't mean anything. It's basically an open open source blog. Any dumbass can write for it.

The only sites "reporting" this story are blogs with little to no cred. Until respected Bulls beat writers start floating this story I'd label it a non starter and move on.

No one will want that contract anyways...especially with a new CBA and lockout looming.

I'd trade Boozer for nothing more than a late 1st right now. Everything I've heard (tho I have no immediate sources) say that if players are forced to cut other players in order to meet a new salary cap, they will not be able to cut their highest paid player. Boozer makes the most annually on our team (tho Joakim has the largest contract, I believe).
