I know, quick, resign Pargo to a 1 year, 16 mil contract.

Lol...if you're going to do that, at least do it w/ Taj or Bogans or someone you plan on keeping anyway :p

But then if you cut Pargo you can keep Taj or Bogans at their current low salary and not change anything. xD

my understanding is you won't be able to cut your top player...overpaying Pargo (or anybody) would just mean we could cut Boozer w/ no harm done to the team (other than Boozer's presence). So we'd have to keep our highest paid.

But, this is all hypothetical anyways.

I really dont see the Bulls trading Boozer. My opinion I say give him one more year and see how it goes. Hopefully he stays more healthy and steps it up big when it comes to the playoffs. If not then get him out of here. You have to remember this guy has had health problems throughout his career and we took a chance on that along with his lack of defense.

If the Bulls can move his contract to get a better player, I'm totally on board with this idea.

People are coming down on Carlos Boozer WAY too hard.

Lets look at the facts here:

1. Boozer and Rose didn't have much time to mesh.

2. Boozer and Noah had even less time to mesh.

3. Boozer was hurt

4. His Career Playoff Numbers are way higher.

5. My buddy is actually friends with Carlos Boozer. (He helps run Boozer's summer camp in Alaska). My buddy told me that Boozer was having a really hard time this year with his divorce. I know people may not think that is a big deal, but apparantly he was really beat up about it.

Lets give him another year before everyone panicks.

Boozer is not going anywhere & honestly I'm kind of shocked that almost every fan on here wants him gone. The guy had a bad year. It happens almost 9 times out of 10 when a player signs a new contract. Deng in 07-08 anyone?

The guy was out there playing with torn tendons in his foot & still pulling down nearly 10 boards a game. But I guess everyone is right, he's total trash.

Give Booz and Noah one more season to play together (healthy). If Booz still trends downwards, then maybe explore the possibility of dealing him before the trade deadline in February.

His contract and the looming CBA are repellent.

I am not a fan so I wouldn't have a problem with them trading him, I don't think we would get much back for him though:dunno:

interesting gobullschi...and though are definitely some good reasons as to why boozer was not playing well...but the bottom line is he was also struggling on his defense as well as sometimes offensively...i understand some possible reasons for it but he just did not play well...if he plays the same way next time next year healthy then there are really no excuses

not to say i think he got some serious undeserved burn on here...but let's not act like boozer's issues are all justified by chemistry issues or emotions..some of that is definitely on his own underperforming

Like I said give him one more year. If he sucks again then deuces!!!
But we knew ahead of time Boozer isn't the best defensively,we mostly got him for scoring and rebounding but the thing is he wasn't scoring. Hopefully he gets his stuff together next year.

I hope they trade him... but I doubt it happens.

I never wanted Boozer in the first place. Last summer, I knew we needed a low-post scorer, but I didn't want Boozer. My Wish list was this in order:

1. Chris Bosh. He can rebound, score inside and can shoot from the outside. Doesn't have history with injuries and would have been effective playing next to a guy like Noah. Plus he would have brought over Wade.

2. David Lee. Can do the same things on offense as Bosh.. but is a MUCH better paser. Only thing is, we would have had to give somebody up for Lee because he went in a sign-and-trade.

3. Amar'e Stoudemire. Didn't really want him 'cause of his injury histry, but I would have wanted him over Boozer.

4. Carlos Boozer. Didn't want him. Can't play D, injury waiting to happen, stat padder.

I jumped on Boozer pretty hard myself. But his injury and lack of time gelling with the team hurt us in the playoffs.

I think if he has a good training camp and they actually install an offensive scheme that plays to his and Rose's strengths, I think they will be just fine.

This type of mindset is the wrong way to look at it. I’m sure Gar/Pax wanted to get Wade, LeBron, Bosh, Lee, Amare, ect.

Wade, Bron, and Bosh obviously chose to play in Miami.
Amare obviously wanted to play in New York
Joe Johnson took the $.
Lee was traded

Bottomline, I'm sure the Bulls explored all their options. We had a ton of capspace and the BPA was Carlos Boozer. Just be happy we didn’t clear up all that capspace and end up like the Nets. (w/ Travis Outlaw & Anthony Morrow)

1. Rose isn't Deron Williams. He isn't a very good pick and roll passer. Boozer had the benefit of that in Utah.

2. Boozer and Noah are the same type of offensive player- clogging the lane trying to grab offensive rebounds. Both will try to take you off the dribble, are decent passers, and will take the mid-range open jump-shot. Boozer has more of a low-post game but hardly uses it anymore.

3. Boozer is almost always hurt after the all-star break.

4. So are Shaq's... that doesn't help your case much. Boozer's best years are behind him and lacks the explosiveness that he once had. He's our Elton Brand now. If the guy doesn't get blocked 4 times in one game then we should be happy at this point.
