True, but obviously no one is knocking down the door to sign Dampier as a starter...especially when the only other team interested seems to be Dallas, who has a million 7 footers. Damps needs to realize he's a back-up and will get paid accordingly...and his best shot for playing time is probably in Chicago, especially w/ the Boozer injury. Sign a one year deal, play big those first 5 weeks of the season, get good minutes the rest of the season, you may be in line for a bigger pay-check next off-season.

I hate it that it took a Boozer injury to force GarPax to be pro-active...but Damps is better than Asik...and should be signed...as he should've been even before the injury.
