I'd rather sign a long-term option that the Bulls can benefit from for more than 10 days at a time. This just makes me think more and more that signing Rip was a mistake.

This move is completely independent of the Rip move...Mike James is in to be a backup point with Rose missing time to injury. Simple as that.
