This move is completely independent of the Rip move...Mike James is in to be a backup point with Rose missing time to injury. Simple as that.

Still doesn't change my feelings on the Rip trade. If Rip was healthy right now, they wouldn't be signing James. They have Watson and Lucas, who both have done reasonably well in Rose's absence.

Why don't the Bulls just cut JLIII or Scalabrine and give James a contract through the rest of the season? He's worth more than both of those clowns.

Or cut JLIII, scalabrini and James, plus Amnosty Rip to make financial room to out bid the Knicks and Clippers for JR Smiths services.......
Its still not to late yet, but time is running thin...

Cannot wait til Scalabrine is just a coach. Oh wait....... :smoke:

Pay the dude a small coaching salary & get him out of that wasted spot on the roster. The man is a coach-in-waiting anyway.

I have never been a Lucas fan, and after seeing Mike James flat out play better than him, I would rather we get rid of Lucas and keep james!

Yeah, James is much smarter than Lucas. JL goes out there, dribbles for about 15 seconds, and then decides to chuck one up.

The Turd is a glorified practice player. He deserves no time on the floor whatsoever. I would put the ballboy ahead of him on the depth chart.

Make no mistake, Mike James saved us in that game last night. And thats the 2nd time he's done it in the 4 games he's played. It's time that the Turd is pooper-scooped, wrapped in a baggie, & thrown in the trash.

I stopped reading after the first 8 posts in this thread...but if you have a turd you wanna get rid of, you put it in a paper bag, put it at the principal's front door, light it on fire, ring the doorbell and run like hell. duh. :)

Really like what James brings to the table. Veteran mind, good on the pick and rolls, excellent on defense.

Both JL and Scalabrine are getting paid about 800K each I know the Bulls signed Scal to a 1 year deal and it's likely he won't be back next year unless Thibs wants to hire him as an assistant coach which I think would be a good move. But does anybody know how long is JLIII contract?

His contract is guaranteed until the end of the season. He's this year's Pargo.

Bulls tweets sound like James will be kept until the end of this season from what is being said thus far! Which is good!
