Dampier's contract can be declined on July 8th. He wouldnt be on the roster and his contract wouldnt count against us once the signing period begins.

Last year Dallas went after Gortat when he was a RFA. So, there's some appeal there.

Now I would like it and I do remember Magic matching the offer for Gortat with Dallas.

I don't know if I want the Bulls to get Dampier because they are adding to there cap this year but he is an expiring contract after they year. But with that not incosiderstion, I would rather have Pietris and Gortat over Dampier.

There would be no Dampier contract because it can be terminated July 8th and we would essentially then be clearing 11.3 million of cap space.

And the Bulls would need a shooter and can afford Ray Allen.

Then that works for me but i would hope that theyve had discussions behind closed doors w/ LeBron and know he's coming. I only want Deng gone if LeBron is definitely coming.

I dont even know if I want Ray anymore. He's a little too hot and cold to pay what hell probably command. If you sign a sniper for cheaper, it would cost less and so it wouldnt hurt as much when he goes cold in the playoffs.

Yeah, do you really think they would have traded Hinrich if they didnt have a strong sense that it was going to happen? Maybe it was a good idea anyway, but Hinrich was a favorite with the FO brass.

What other shooters do you have in mind with JJ and Alles a no. Morrow?

Ray Allen will cost too much and for his age, Id say no. You could get a young shooter in Morrow much cheaper and you dont risk his falling off. He can only get better.

I do think so. Hinrich was a FO favorite and Pax love child but he's just not good enough to play SG full time IMO and i think they might have felt the same. I dont think FAs look at Chicago and say, Hinrich, thats a guy i want to play with. I think Deng has more appeal and also i think it would be easier to replace Hinrich than it would be Deng.

BTW, I heard that the Deng to the Clippers deal would have happened but was nixed by Sterling even though everyone in their FO wanted to do the deal. Sterling is holding out for LeBron and no one in their FO thinks its realistic.

He should listen to his front office.

By Clipper fans.

The few, the proud.

Seriously, how many Clippers fans can there be with the way that franchise has been run?

BTW, I wonder how many times a dad in LA raised his kid to be a Clippers fan only for his son to punch him in the face for doing so. Kids at school make fun of you, they lose a lot, their owner sucks...I can imagine scenarios where the son becomes bitter.

Sterling is an idiot. Clips should have taken Deng.
