The Bulls fell to the Bobcats just a week ago which should prevent any fears of the Bulls taking them lightly. Especially since Carlos Boozer is unlikely to play again [though I haven't seen official word, I doubt he...

Maybe Boozer being out might be a good thing, not for the sake of winning, but the side-entertainment of the game.

Tyrus really played bad against Taj, but he went off on Boozer and Kurt. I think TT takes his whole benching situation personal with Taj specifically. He tries a little too hard, and gets himself into a few mistakes. With the matchup extending past Taj's normal backup role, this is going to be interesting. Loads of personal rivalry and bad blood from 2 guys who don't make obvious display of it.

yeah i noticed that with Tyrus too he goes at Taj full throttle & make more mistakes than buckets....Taj will start & drop 18 & 12 easy

bulls win 105 - 87

You have no knowledge what so ever. Don't over look a good young team like the Bobcats. We did it last time and look what happened.

not overlooking just like you said that's what happened last time. We are playing with a lot more confidence than the last time we played them . we should play better & win maybe my prediction was a big win but regardeless of the actual final score we should have the W

Tyrus is a bust. Hopefully he doesn't put shit up on us this time. Taj is a better defender than Boozer though.

Tyrus is a bust.

I don't think it's that simple. He's not everything you'd expect out of a #4 pick, but it was a weak draft. Also if you look at his history, under the right coaching I think he's shown he can be a very good player.

Tyrus is one of the few guys on the Bobcats who has been worse since Larry Brown left. Tyrus also looked great at the end of his rookie season under Skiles, but after Skiles went he was terrible under VDN. He needs a disciplinarian coach because he's a guy who if left to his own devices will walk up the court and hang out on the perimeter pretending he's a small forward (remember after the draft when he was telling everyone he saw himself as a 3?)

At his best though Tyrus is one of the scariest help defenders in the game, a decent rebounder (if someone ever managed to get him to box out he could be excellent), and a very under rated scorer.

Funnily enough Thibs seems like exactly the sort of coach who could get the most out of Tyrus, and it's kind of a shame we don't get the chance to see it. I can see why people dislike Tyrus because he did under perform, but not all players are the same, some need a little hand holding to guide them, and with the right coach I think Tyrus can be a contributor on a good team as the 3rd big playing 24 minutes or so off the bench.

Yeah but Tyrus is also pretty damn stupid...and with Thibs, stupidity lands you on the bench next to James Johnson.

JJ is also a bad basketball player which makes him a lot easier to bench. Besides, JJ's stupid seems to be not knowing what to do, Tyrus' stupid seems to be knowing what to do but choosing not to unless the coach makes it a condition of him getting playing time.
