Why isn't anyone pointing out how huge of a loss Tyrus was for our defense? Fine I know alot of people like to diss on him for being late on defensive rotations especially Diddy, but the guy made a impact. When he was here we were nearly giving 6 points less per 100 possessions with him on the floor. Tyrus was making a huge impact and was our second best defender. Everyone golden child only is giving us 0.7 less points per possesion. Not that great of impact

Tyrus could only be considered a "good defender" because he blocks a lot of shots with his athleticism. No doubt, those blocks help, but his rebounding skills are still poor and he's just not sound fundamentally.

There's no doubt losing Tyrus has hurt us defensively. It was always going to make us a worse defensive team to trade him. Really though Tyrus isn't a loss that would have hurt us so badly if Noah was healthy.

I wouldn't say Tyrus' rebounding skills were "poor", he's not a terrible rebounder. He's played next to Wallace/Noah, so he's never been the primary rebounder on the team. Since being traded his rebounding rate has picked up when he's been asked to do more.
