Crap Hinrich didn't score 20...:( 17 is close enough, right? And besides, he shot above 60% and was a perfect 4-4 from 3. And a clutch 3 as his last one. Now if only he could do this on a more regular basis...

Probably the only real flaw you could point to this game is Rose got a bit three happy for a while there, and missed a couple of important free throws. Other than that he was great, and Flip & Kirk were both very good. This must be the first time we've had three good games from back court players at the same time in ages.

The Raptors winning is a bit of a downer, now we're winning they start winning again. :(

Eh, whatever. I'm just glad I can watch some decent ball again. The last 2 weeks were brutal. Thank God the tourney started on Thursday or I don't know what I'd have done.

On another note: If Skiles does not win Coach of the Year this season, I'm gonna be pissed. Scottie Brooks has done well, but everyone knew that OKC would break out this year & they have because of the immense amount of young talent on the team. IMHO Skiles has coached Brooks under the table. He deserved it his first season with the Bulls & didn't get it, & he's equally, if not more deserving this year.

Skiles certainly deserves a coach of the year award at some point, I think that he's the best defensive coach in the league. Two years ago the Bucks were the worst defensive team in the league, now they're 3rd. He did a similar turn around job with the Bulls defense.

I don;t know if Skiles will ever get it.

To me he should of got it in 04/05. The Bullw were 0-9 and 2-13 and ended up winning 47 as you know. If he didn't get it then, I'm not sure he will.

It will be interesting to see how things play out with him and the Bucks. Will it be the same pattern as with PX and the Bulls. Couple years of success, then he loses the players. It will be interesting.

Rose is a stud. So good to see him back.

just like I keep telling my co-worker - who treats every game like Game 7 of the NBA Finals - a quick little win streak gets you right back in it.

Now the Bobcats have lost 2 in a row, so the Bulls ate 2 1/2 behind both Tor and Char.

I think the Bulls can win their next three games vs. Heat, NJ and @ Det. If They can do that, they're right back in it.

Bulls have two games left vs. Charlotte, including the last game of the season. That could be for the 8th spot.

Props to Hinrich for hitting that clutch 3-pointer. Reminded me of Craig Hodges.

Hahahaha I second that.

But wait let me be Fred for a moment so he doesn't have to waste his time, "Don't you dare compare that overrated piece of trash Hinrich to the wonderful clutch play of Craig Hodges. Hinrich can't even come close to being the shooter that Hodges was on his worst shooting day. Don't get me wrong, I'm happy he shot well tonight and he did contribute for once, but he still sucks." :silly:

Just finished watching the game on Tivo. Great games from Rose and Kirk. When Kirk hit that clutch 3, every window in my house exploded, and various objects in the room started hitting me, like when Vader started using the force to throw things at Luke in "Empire", because all the Kirk fans in the world gave me one big mental "FU". It was actually quite frightening, but I was happy since the Bulls won.

In all honesty, Kirk played great tonight against the Rockets. Although they are only a #9 Western Conference team, in 4th place in the Southwest division out of 5 teams, and under .500 on the road, they still put up a lot of fight, and Kirk came through to help Rose defeat the raging Rockets. This marks his 2nd solid game in a row, after a fantastic game against the powerhouse Sixers. I'm going to remain positive on Kirk for the rest of the year, despite the overall pile of garbage he's posted in March until this week. I was a little down that he didn't get 20 against a team over .500 for the first time since 2008-Jan. Looking forward to that day when he catches up to Acie Law.

Rose is the man. Hopefully, we can get him some help next year.

I have to admit, despite the Vader reference being classic, I'm a bit disappointed you didn't tell us Salmons scored 32 against a team in the playoffs.

The losing streak might end up being great for the Bulls. It will give a chance for the appearance (and probably the reality) of Rose putting the team on his back and leading the Bulls to the playoffs. Free agents are going to be looking at that and start thinking, wow, this is a guy I want to play with...even more so than they do now.

The schedule is fairly favorable for our playoff ambitions. 1 game left against Toronto and 2 against Charlotte. Win those 2 against Charlotte, and you have to feel pretty good about your chances of making the playoffs if you win your fair share of other games.

Just looking at the remaining schedule.

3/25 Miami Heat (Bulls play Miami well, should be a close game though)
3/27 New Jersey Nets (Bulls should win)
3/28 at Detroit Pistons (Bulls should win)
3/30 Phoenix Suns (Bulls play PHX well, good chance for a win)
4/2 at Washington Wizards (Bulls should win)
4/3 Charlotte Bobcats (Hard fought game)
4/6 Milwaukee Bucks (Hard fought game, probable loss)
4/8 Cleveland Cavaliers (Bulls player the Cavs well, but will probably lose)
4/9 at New Jersey Nets (Should win)
4/11 at Toronto Raptors (Hard fought game)
4/13 Boston Celtics (Should win, Celtics should be resting players by this point)
4/14 at Charlotte Bobcats (Hard fought game)

That puts the Bulls at 38 wins if they win all the should win games. If they win three more of these games, and get to 41-41, I like their chances of making the playoffs, especially if they get 2 wins against the Bobcats.

How did I know that you would mention that the Rockets aren't in the playoffs? :p

Regardless, they're still an above .500 team playing in the Western Conference.

I'm not sure why 20 points is so important anyway...what's wrong with 17 or 18 or 19? Though if you count up the times Hinrich has done it this year, he still fails (he's sucked this year, I'm not trying to say he's been amazing) but if you total it for the past 3 seasons he probably won't seem as Jannero Pargo like as you make him out to be. Again, I'm not trying to say Kirk Hinrich is amazing, just he's not as bad as you make him out to be (although yes he has underachieved this year...and 2 years ago)

Thornton just hit a three to tie the Wizards/Bobcats game ... hopefully the Wizards can pull it out, would be a big boost to our playoff hopes.

And of course the Wizards suck during overtime. So much for that idea.

Toronto looks like they'll lose as expected to Utah, if we can win against Miami we can finally start making up some ground.
