I'm guessing it might have been for around a 3rd rounder...I haven't checked to see the updated rfa salary compensation numbers yet (since cap went up).

Easily replaceable, more useless talk on the ice than performance but he was a awesome guy... Kopecy was mainly on the 4th line and still could be again next year. Only those Hossa line 2 pairings on occasion changed that and I doubt that lasts going into next year.

Adam Burish was an unrestricted free agent... why would you expect compensation for him? Burish was a fan favorite but we have 12 better forwards in front of him even with the recent trades.

It also was not a coincidence that he was a healthy scratch for most of our important games this season.

So is he a UFA or RFA?

Good point. I forgot he was unrestricted.

I was just saying that the compensation (players/picks) we got for other guys helped lessen the blow....

He was an unrestricted free agent, meaning no compensation. There is no compensation for restricted free agents if you do not give them a qualifying offer either.

You don't pay 4th liners a million a year- especially ones that are healthy scratches about 40 % of the time.

If that type of a player isn't replaceable -then no one is. No big loss- and Dallas overpaid.
