So, one of the big plays of the game was Caleb's incurring a horse-collar penalty to kickstart the final drive. It was very dramatic flop from Caleb, which I think is sad, but....not sure they get the penalty call without the flop and also not sure if that last drives goes anywhere without the 15 yards. Is Caleb's flopping good or bad?

Why not just title the thread "I am a ***** who hates Caleb and can't give credit where it's due"?

At least then it would be honest.

You shouldn't have to do that to get the penalties, but we've observed for years that other teams QBs get penalties when ours don't and a lot of times those come after super dramatic pratfalls after some minor contact. Like you said, the flag might not have been thrown if he doesn't throw himself back like that, but it was also absolutely a horse collar tackle.

Ultimately the fault for this lies with the refs in my opinion. Players are going to take the actions that get the rewards, and refs shouldn't be rewarding flops and showing preferential treatment to star players. They do though, so this is the result.

Great topic OP! I agree, bad look for QB6. Totally gross and unacceptable!

At this point, I have to wonder if this is really the old packer slut poster Wardi with a name change...

Oh this is absolutely someone’s alt.

Agreed. Some of the takes are so insane it's obvious he's just doing it to get a rise out of people and doesn't actually believe the stupid shit he's saying.

Have you been horse collared tackled before? You seem to be speaking from experience or something

It was blatantly obvious it was a horse collar; ref was already reaching for his flag before he fell

Caleb is a big, black QB and the NFL gives less penalties to them unless you become the greatest QB in NFL history

But the flop helped that flag come out.

I am all for it. The Bears never get calls anyhow, so I say embrace the flop...especially if your QB is good at it as they get all the best penalty yardage.

Caleb Williams could be the next Lebron James!
