You got it all wrong, it's not the message, I have no problem with his views, it's him. He is a fucked up mess of a pseudo human, a vile putrid humorless tumor that speaks in the third person.

It doesn't matter what he thinks about Pace or the Bears he is an STD laced fuckstain.

Yeah, I get that you and a few others feel very strongly about the guy. I don't mind him and actually find his schtick pretty funny. So deliberately unfunny it's funny, in a kind of Kaufman-esque way. Each to their own I guess.

You think the cringe is intentional, like it's a bit, "so deliberately unfunny it's funny"? I seriously doubt it's intentional and you are definitely giving him way too much credit, but it's always good to try to find something positive in anything, no matter how vulgar. Good for you.

Shoopter (along with a lot of other "realists") would lose their shit at anything remotely positive. Not just the blatant homers.

If someone said something like, "That was a great throw on third down" the nancies like Shoopster would go off like they were pissed that someone actually had the audacity to say anything positive. Thats not a "realist". Its a Whiner.

If the bears are relevant come season end, can we rename “Snails” Pace to something more fittting, maybe tortoise?

I can't image how any of the haters EVER move on from a breakup. With that logic every new woman is the same as the last and will NEVER work.

Yes, as it should be. Winning is all that matters.

The Shoopster's main gripe is about how badly this organization has been run, from ownership and at the executive level down to the GM level. He mentions players and coaches too but the running of the organization has always been his issue. He's absolutely right. They have been badly run, and in recent years have been virtually the NFC Browns.

While he does focus on the negatives in terms of that stuff, I find him nowhere remotely as unbearable as the homers who are on here chirping about how great they're going to be every off-season. If the team of people running this franchise do finally get things going and they become competitive again, these homers should not be calling him out after years and years of being wrong while he's been right. And that goes for all realists (nobody is a "hater", we're all fans), myself included.

Mind you, I have been quite a bit more optimistic since the Mack trade. I think that's a genuinely impactful move.

stop talking about him like he is a person

The day will come in which you say,"The Homer Movement was right, and I now declare myself a proud member of the movement."

you can be super excited and optimistic and have a great time watching and consuming bears media without being a homer. homer is not a synonym for excited. or optimistic.

rather, homer literally means delusional. now sometimes a homer's delusions turn out to be correct. but still. nobody has to be that to have fun watching the bears. at least not when they are good.

Sooooooooo.....have you even been around long enough to have even read a post from him?

Triple dog dare back at you, the shitster has a schtick that is just plain intolerable...the message from him, whatever it may be doesn't even matter.

Your best post ever....serious. Do you still feel the trade for Mack was one of desperation though?
