How often does someone go first to third on a wild pitch?
A SB helps not only with a SB but also going 1st to 3rd and on wild pitches. Those are the battles the Cubs are losing.
Here's what I said.
What I'm saying is that in the game there are times when a runner can go 1st to 3rd, and he can do that with ease.
He can also advance bases easily on a wild pitch.
Sorry for the confusion. I didn't word it cleary.
I guess I still don't get how often does a player go first to third on a wild pitch. The only times I can really think of are if the player is stealing originally or if the catcher can't find the ball.
I can't think of a single time a player has just gone first to third on a wild pitch because he is fast.
Well that makes a little more sense.
And Pena gets on base 35.9% of the time. Only Fukudome is better at it.
I don't think he means 1st-3rd on a wild pitch at all. Just like for example, if a ball is just blooped to the RF, if Campana is on 1st, he could get to 3rd, where as someone like Pena (lol, Pena on base, that's rare.) would only be able to go from 1st to 2nd on that same hit ball.
I think.
Bingo. Sorry for the confusion Pods. Sometimes I don't even know what I say.
The Cubs don't run, so it doesn't matter if Campana ran a 4.38 or a 0.38....
Not when you have Soriano and Fukudome in your outfield. Campana could be a part of the Cubs offense going forward.

Who on the team other than Campana should we run with? Ramirez? Soto? We have soooo many speed demons on this team.
