Because it isn't Firefox? Still better than IE. That's all I got.

I think it's a great browser as long as you don't mind sending even more data back to the mothership. For awhile, it had a definite speed advantage over FF, but that isn't as much as a factor as it used to be. Firefox is still my primary, mostly because of the extensions I use (although most are available on Chrome now too). I only open Safari to test cross browser compliance. Same with IE (which I hope some day dies in a fire)....but it's still a necessary evil to test because of user adoption.

Safari sucks. Firefox shat the bed. What problem are you having with chrome? And nvan, re: ie, totally agree, fucking hate it. I use browserstack now instead if having to open that abomination directly

Every time my wife opens IE on my computer I have to spend 30 minutes getting my settings back the way i want them and uninstalling tool bars.

It's slow. Don't bother having more than two windows open, and dear got to I hate having to get a 'page not loading' screen repeatedly.

I don't use either as a primary browser, nor Safari/IE.

Use what you like. I'm back and fourth between Chrome and Firefox based browsers. Speed, stability, privacy, and security are everything to me. If the browser lacks in any one area, I don't use it. Out of the box, Chrome is faster. After configuring of both, Firefox based is faster. Out of the box, Chrome is slightly more secure, after some configuring of both, Firefox is more secure. Out of the box, Firefox respects privacy more, after configuring both more, Firefox still respects privacy more. Full web compatibility, gecko-based browsers are more compatible with websites than webkit-based browsers. Out of the box, both are as stable as the sites that you use, so that's a push.

If you don't configure your browsers, you should just use Chrome. If you want to configure your browser and you break it because you're in over your head, you'll hate firefox. No user can claim they know what they're doing, then complain that they broke any of these browsers because they are that simple. If one browser crashes a lot for someone that claims they know how to configure their system, then just roll your eyes. Back to my original point. Use what you like!

Chrome acts all fucky for me when I use my phones 'hotspot' feature with my laptop. It wont load websites like nfl.com, bleacherreport, and some others, yet it'll load others fine. So, when I use my phones 'hotspot' with my laptop when I'm on the go, I typically use IE which does everything pretty well as far as I'm concerned. I haven't had a single issue using IE, shit, using the 'hotspot' and my laptop, I've watched live streams with multiple windows open with no problem.

So, I just kinda gave up on chrome. I tried firefox as well before going to IE and it was the same shit.

Yeah, but you're like, a genius or something.

Then try SRware Iron. It's the easy mode for people who like the Chrome interface, but want most of the configuration options and smarter privacy of a well oiled machine. Google, Internet Explorer, and Safari datamine your history for hits on traffic to build their advertiser profiles, where Iron builds onto the same source, but gets rid of that trash(and this stuff can alter user experience, like that extra step might hang up and pages wont load).

http://www.srware.net/en/software_srware_iron_download.php

Another thing, use OpenDNS or OpenNIC. ISP DNS servers are not as active as updating records and certificates. Right now I'm using OpenNIC(The separate DNS servers are good, the website might be slow because the site is growing fast).
