Carmelo Anthony helped take care of step 1 by beating the Raps at the buzzer.

Now the Bulls need to beat NJ and Detroit, along with the Raptors losing on the road to Miami and Charlotte.

If all that falls into place the Bulls and Raptors would both be 35-38 after Toronto's game on Monday.

Yep, they could be tied, two teams working hard to get their asses kicked by Lebron....actually I am watching Milwaukee, and Bogut is out. Milwaukee absolutely sucked to night and if Bogut doesn't get better, could they be in line for a free fall? Oh my fault, same Miami team beat the Bulls even worse. I don't know what to make of this year, I will stick to my original premise, it doesn't matter as much, this summer is what matters.

Rose needs to score at least 25 points per game in the next 2 games. 12 against Miami was way too much.

That´s the problem with the Bulls when Deng is out. Nobody but Rose is scoring. So defense concentrates on him and the game is as good as over.

This is so sad. It really is. I personally still dont see us making the playoffs without Luol Deng and if we do, it will just prove how sad the east is. With that being said, I will take it anyway I can get it. The Bucks actually have a hell of a end of the season and without Bogut, they could be on the verge of a slide that is comparable to the one we went on. At the moment Boguts injury doesnt sound too horrible (mid-back strain), but as we can all see, they never do at first, then the player is gone for 3 weeks. This is Skiles on Boguts status:

"This is in his upper mid-back. It's just a strain. I can't imagine it being very long. It's more or less just back spasms. Normally those things don't last very long. I would hope he'll play on Sunday."

Ha ha. I wonder if the Bulls could take a game from the Cavs?

Step 2, Bulls beat NJ. now 1/2 games out. Sunday is big, a Bulls win against Ben Gordon's Pistons and a loss by Toronto to MIA and it's a 1/2 game lead.

Why couldn't they? Everyone will be healthy and we can match up well vs them

Let's hope so....I'll take the playoffs any way we can...More playoff experience for Rose and Noah.

Funny thing I'm looking at the Pistons schedule and has hard as it is for me to say and do....I will root for them to win their final games of the season. GO BG7!!!

April 9 = Miami

April 10 = Charlotte

April 12 = Toronto

Of course this is a team that just lost to the Nets (They are in total disarray or just straight up tankin' it for the lotto)

Pistons are dreadful. Hopefully Miami can get their stuff together so we could move within a half game.

Damn it Gordon just scored, there goes my "The last time Kirk scored zero was 2009, the last time Gordon scored zero was tonight" thread for Fred.

Miami closed the gap to 4 against Toronto. Hopefully Wade can prevail again.

Tied now. I have to admit the Miami/Toronto game is the one I have the sound turned on right now. ;)

Miami get it done, and surely even the Bulls can't lose this one now.

Everything is falling into place. Now the Bobcats need to come through tomorrow.

Nice comeback by the Heat. The Raps had pretty big leads in both of the last two games only to blow it.

The Bulls could end up tied on Monday but can easily be ninth again if they lose to the Suns on Tuesday. The Bulls need to come out strong against a good team like that. Can't have any Miami type games.

I hope so, but don't you think he'd go to Miami instead?

I just don't see how Bosh would choose Chicago over Miami.

Wade has the hometown angle and even LeBron has the "let me try to top Jordan in Chicago" angle.

But when it comes to Bosh I don't see any reason he'd come here. I know the chance to play with a young all-star PG, but he can play with Wade in Miami. then there's the whole Miami thing.

I don't think the Bulls get the Big 3. I think the best they can hope for is Stoudemire, but he might end up in NY reunited with D'Antoni.

Maybe Boozer is the best option.
