I hope so, but don't you think he'd go to Miami instead?

I just don't see how Bosh would choose Chicago over Miami.

Wade has the hometown angle and even LeBron has the "let me try to top Jordan in Chicago" angle.

But when it comes to Bosh I don't see any reason he'd come here. I know the chance to play with a young all-star PG, but he can play with Wade in Miami. then there's the whole Miami thing.

I don't think the Bulls get the Big 3. I think the best they can hope for is Stoudemire, but he might end up in NY reunited with D'Antoni.

Maybe Boozer is the best option.

Well he has said he wants to be the man and built around. In Miami, he will clearly be the number 2 option. Here, we can run the half court offense through the post and he has a athletic, rebounding and defensive center to cover all his weaknesses.

I see Amare more in Miami then Bosh. Miami is home to him, they clearly need a scorer and Amare is better as a second option. Amare has also played C in the past and can step in and start there. Though MB and Stat would be terrible defensively.

Either way, I am happy with either Amare or Bosh.

Even if they do manage to sneak into the playoffs do you think Bosh stays? I mean the whole thing about wanting to be "the man" is about respect. Maybe he'll decide he wants a new fan base who will appreciate him, it seems Toronto is starting to sour on him a bit.

Then again, maybe I have the cause and effect wrong there. Maybe they've soured on him a bit because they get the vibe he's leaving.

I am amazed Colangelo hasn't been able to put something around him or at least get something for him. With the way the team is falling apart at the seems I can't see him staying. At the begining of the year or even a few weeks ago, I though it was more than likely. They just fell apart at the wrong time.

Maybe I missed the article where he said it, but I don't understand why everyone has this impression of Bosh that he HAS to be the man anywhere he goes. I think he would love to play for a city with the best fan base in the NBA, with a group of solid young talent, who will have no problems tossing the ball to him in the post every night. I don't think he's all about being "the Man" as everyone keeps insisting.

Will it be Miami, Chicago, or NY? Well Id say Miami is the front runner cuz of Wade, if he stays, which is still a mystery. Also everyone needs to keep in mind that Wade & Bron will test the market, which means there's no guaranteeing that Wade will be officially resigned by the time an offer is out there for any of the Big FA's. I highly doubt that Bosh, or any other big FA, would be waiting around for Wade to resign if, say, us or NY blow him out of the water with an offer.

As for the playoffs, I only want us to go there for 2 reasons: 1) Taj Gibson getting playoff experience & 2) Lebron experiencing the atmosphere at the UC during the playoffs.

Seems like we're not the only ones speculating on Bosh missing the playoffs and bolting to the culprits, from Hollinger's twitter:

Just realized that Knicks could potentially knock Toronto out of playoffs on last day of season ... and grease skids for Bosh to NY

I think I like our scenario better. ;)

Personally at this point, I am happy with any of the big 4. Yes I am throwing Amare in there, he has been a beast and would be deadly in a pick and roll with Rose. The only concern I have going forward is years, 5-6 years under a new cba could become quite long.

I haven't read anything about Bosh wanting to be "the man" but if he did say that, or give that impression then my question is - has he not had a chance to be the man in Toronto?

Diddy, he did actually say something along those lines in a Marc Stein article.

Of course, that doesn't mean he couldn't have been playing games like Bron or changes his mind or resigns right away. It is just the best indication we have and that would point to us, as Rose doesn't have the reputation that wade or bron have. He could come here and be the man.

“That’s a good question,” Bosh said when asked by ESPN The Magazine’s Ric Bucher if he’s bothered by the widespread perception that he’s determined to follow either LeBron James or Dwyane Wade by signing on with one of the teams they choose starting July 1.

“It’s funny you say that, because I was thinking about it. I was just looking at what people say and it’s like, ‘Chris is going to go here and play with him or this, this and that.’ I’m like, ‘Wait a minute.’ I feel like I should be built around. And maybe that’s just my ego talking, but I feel that I’m a very good player in this league and I’m only going to get better. So … maybe we should be getting somebody [in Toronto].”

I don't take that quote as anything but him saying "HEY TORONTO! YOU DON'T WANT ME TO LEAVE? THEN GET ME SOMEBODY I CAN PLAY WITH ALREADY!!" He never says he wouldn't play with either Bron or Wade. He just feels he's a player that can be built around & I'd have to agree. He's still young, is in the beginning of the prime of his career, is a perrenial all-star, & is the best PF in the game right now. The quote seems to be him talking about actually STAYING in Toronto & being built around. Don't think that will happen but I also don't think he'd be turning down an offer to play with one of the best SG's in the game because of a need to be the man.

The worst bit about wanting the Bobcats to win is I'm back cheering for Larry Hughes. Ugh.

Felton you idiot, even if that pass got to Chandler he'd fumble it. Raptors win now.

Bad play and some bad shots down the stretch. Raps win.

I think we're now at the point where we need to rely on either the Raptors or Bobcats to fall apart.

Disagree. We can only focus on winning & not worry about either of them. It's the Raps & Bobcats, falling apart is what they do best. Just keep winning & the rest will sort itself out.

There's a chance we can win the next 5 games, if Cleveland sits Lebron. And remember everyone, we play both of them in the final week with the Bobcats being the last game of the season. ANYTHING'S POSSI-BUUUUUUUULL!!!!!!

Well of course we can only control the outcome of our own games, but it's a damn tall order to catch up two games on the Raptors or three on the Bobcats, both of whom have easier schedules. Sure it's possible, but it's likely going to involve them losing some games they should win.
